Reality TV mastermind Carlos King is taking his flair for drama to the dark side, the true crime kind. The man behind OWN’s biggest hits and host of the viral "Reality with the King" podcast just dropped what might be his most addictive project yet, "RealiTEA Crime Stories." Every Thursday, King joins forces with TV executive producer Courtney Parker to dish out the most jaw-dropping, messy, and downright unbelievable legal scandals from the world of reality TV. From Porsha Williams’ ex Simon’s deportation drama to Cynthia Bailey’s ex Peter Thomas turning himself in, even a debate over whether Donald Trump should pardon Joe Giudice and Todd Chrisley, no case is too chaotic for this duo to dissect.

Kicking off his bold new venture, Carlos King is redefining the true crime genre by merging two of pop culture’s most addictive worlds, crime and reality TV. “It’s where 'Dateline' meets 'The Real Housewives,'” King told The Blast exclusively. “I wanted my audience to hear my passion for true crime as it relates to reality television. I’m crafting a very specific space where I only discuss crime stories when it comes to reality stars.”

When asked how "RealiTEA Crime Stories" came to be, King revealed it was all about giving his audience exactly what they crave: scandal, sass, and storytelling. “My audience loves all things 'Real Housewives,' and when Courtney approached me with the idea, it was a no-brainer,” he said. “We’re blending these stars who’ve been engulfed in crime, whether committing one themselves or just guilty by association.”

As for what first inspired him to mix true crime with reality TV? King said it was a natural evolution. “I’m a huge fan of true crime, and my Reigndrops, that’s what I call my audience, are obsessed with the lives of reality stars. So it just made sense to talk about stories like Porsha Williams’ divorce or Tom Girardi being found guilty.”

King Says Fans Can’t Look Away From Reality Stars In Trouble

Reality TV and legal chaos go hand-in-hand, but King believes it’s the human connection that keeps people glued to their screens. “Audiences fall in love with these stars because of their relatability,” he explained. “So when they get in trouble, it’s like watching your friend or family member, you become invested.”

He added that legal drama can make or break a star’s career. “It’s a little bit of both," he told The Blast. "Teresa Giudicegoing to jail actually upped her profile to a mainstream level. But if the crime is too dark, it can destroy your career.”

So, how have reality stars responded to knowing Carlos might be spilling their legal tea? “Oh, I haven’t heard from them. I think they’re afraid of getting covered,” he said, laughing. “But I’m sure they’re listening and watching!”

Despite the juicy headlines, King insists his mission goes beyond gossip. “I’m a journalist, so I have a responsibility to report accurately,” he said. “My audience knows I’m a trusted source. And yes, it’s fun spilling the tea, but it’s also about understanding how fame and the law collide.”

King Reveals The Reality TV Arrest That Had Him ‘Shocked’ And ‘Gagged’

When asked which case had him the most “gagged,” King didn’t hesitate. “Hands down, when the FBI tracked down Jen Shah while filming 'RHOSLC.' I was shocked! It was riveting television. I followed that to the end.”

And if one case were to get the Netflix treatment? “Tom Girardi and Erika Jayne! I’d love to see Sydney Sweeney play her,” he said.

While he insists he’s not rooting for more scandals, King admits he’ll be ready when the next one drops. “I don’t wish that on anyone,” he said with a smile. “But if it happens, you know we’ll be there to break it down.”
