The drama between Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Rosie O'Donnell has been rekindled following the latter's comments about their infamous fight.
The wife of former NFL star Tim Hasselbeck dropped an emotional response to her former friend's claims about their 2007 explosive disagreement, painting herself as a victim of bullying. She tearfully called out the comedian for allegedly lying and refusing to let go of the past.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Rosie O'Donnell infamously butted heads during a May 23, 2007, episode of "The View." Nearly two decades later, the feud resurfaced when O'Donnell implied in an interview that showrunners orchestrated the showdown.

Hasselbeck was overcome with emotion while addressing O'Donnell's recent comments about their widely publicized fight. She shared a series of videos on her Instagram Story on Thursday, October 9, slamming her former co-star for bullying her by dredging up their past.
The media personality began by raving about her blossoming friendship with "The View" longtime panelist Whoopi Goldberg, stressing that the latter wasn't someone who would berate her for having different opinions. She threw shade at O'Donnell, implying she was the type to hold grudges, saying:
"This requires two sane people who have good hearts, who have different opinions agreeing that we are God's people and we're just going to love each other through our opinions and let them be different without punishing the other person."
Hasselbeck, per Entertainment Weekly, noted that the type of relationship she had with Goldberg wasn't possible with O'Donnell because she "wants to spread lies and hate."
Hasselbeck claimed she made multiple attempts to reconcile with O'Donnell after their 2007 argument, noting that ABC had pushed her to apologize after O'Donnell quit.
The Media Personality Begged Her Former Co-Star To 'Stop The Bullying'

Hasselbeck alleged that she was forced to address her issues with O'Donnell publicly because the latter did not want to reconcile. She reiterated that she tried to contact her after their explosive showdown and told O'Donnell to reach out to her if she genuinely wanted to talk.
"If you want to get together and talk, let's do it, come over and swim in my pool, come take a couple laps, come back to America and enjoy your nation," Hasselbeck said. She noted that she would cook dinner for O'Donnell and do whatever she wanted "to stop the bullying."
Hasselbeck doubled down on having a great friendship with Goldberg, despite their differing opinions, and claimed her relationship with O'Donnell was manipulative. "She can create whatever reality she wants. We all see it, we all know it. Honestly, I love you, Rosie," Hasselbeck added.
The Former NFL Star's Wife Also Begged The Comedian To 'Stop Lying'

Hasselbeck's emotional response continued with claims that O'Donnell's narrative attacked her "personal character" and "the integrity" of their work on the ABC show. She implored "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" alum to close the chapter on their past and move on without trying to defame her.
"Stop lying, stop, stop, and in the meantime, and even maybe if you don't stop, I still forgive you," Hasselbeck said tearfully. She begged O'Donnell to "stop the madness, stop the lying, and just be free," even praying for God to release her from the lies and find genuine happiness without destroying someone's character.
As stated, Hasselbeck's words followed O'Donnell's recent comments about their 2007 feud. The Blast covered the story, reporting that she addressed the infamous event during her appearance on the "Ricki-Lee, Tim Joel" radio show.
Inside The Rekindled Drama Between The Former Friends

During the interview, O'Donnell implied there was more to her explosive argument with Hasselbeck because showrunners had reacted too quickly to the incident. She suspected the moment could have been orchestrated because late producer Bill Geddie was "an on-the-fly kind of guy."
"He wasn't like, 'Mr. Let's go to a split screen.' That was prepared," O'Donnell claimed, referencing the network's decision to run a split screen during her fight with Hasselbeck. As for what transpired between the former pals, O'Donnell confessed that she was shocked by Hasselbeck's reaction.
The former talk show host explained that she believed she had a genuine friendship with Hasselbeck. She claimed they spent quality time together, with the latter visiting her home with her child and swimming in her pool. Given their alleged bond, she felt betrayed when someone she bent over backwards for did a complete 180.
Rosie O'Donnell & Elisabeth Hasselbeck Threw Shade At Each Other

The drama between the women continued long after their 2007 fight, with Hasselbeck shading O'Donnell's return to "The View" in 2014, a year after she exited the show. She slammed her former pal as the woman had insulted her, the military, and the show.
Hasselbeck added that the news of O'Donnell's comeback ruined her vacation. The latter had a less mocking reaction to Hasselbeck's return to the ABC program in 2022.
Page Six reported that she shared her thoughts on TikTok, noting it was "strange" how her former pal slammed Joe Biden with Post-It notes.
