Asia Argento is making sure Anthony Bourdain's legacy lives on.

The famous girlfriend of the late chef and food documentarian shared a touching tribute to her former lover on Friday, June 25. Asia posted several memories and penned a sweet message on what would be his 65th birthday. Bourdain died by suicide on June 8, 2018, in his hotel room in France, but his death shocked the world and rocked the actress. Argento shared her grief with the world on social media shortly after but eventually stepped away for several months.

Years later, she is doing her part on Anthony Bourdain Day (his birthday) to honor the memory of the great entertainer.

"Celebrating the most incredible man I have ever met. Missing you every day. Cherishing each moment we shared in our life together," Argento captioned her sweet post.

"I feel your presence and your strength. You shine so bright within me. I love you my A. Happy birthday ❤️."

Bourdain's Tragic Death

Bourdain used the belt of his bathrobe to hang himself in his French hotel room on June 8, 2018. He was 61. Authorities announced that there was no foul play in his death. He was on location shooting an episode of his hit travel show, “Parts Unknown,” when he was found dead. French authorities performed a toxicology report at the time and determined that he had no drugs in his system at the time.

"It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain. His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time."

Asia's Painful Grieving Process

For years, Asia has mourned the loss of her lover on the anniversary of this death. She shared a heartbreaking video of herself crying last year. “You want pain? Here’s the pain. No filter needed. Two years without my love,” Asia captioned her sad post in 2020. Initially, her social posts seemed like a cry for help, but she learned to remember the positives.
