Loughlin and Giannulli's relationship first began to unravel after the college admissions scandal in 2019.

The duo was accused of paying $500,000 to secure their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California as fake rowing recruits.

“Their marriage was very strong before the sh-t hit the fan with the college admissions scandal” an insider shared per the Daily Mail. “That totally derailed it. His sales suffered, and she lost Hallmark. They blamed each other, but he blamed her more.”

Both were sentenced to prison after pleading guilty. Giannulli served five months, while Loughlin served two.

Though they appeared united at times, insiders say the damage never truly healed. Reportedly, their family was embarrassed, and their public image took a hit. The scandal created a rift that only grew deeper over time.

Though they appeared united when they listed their $16.5 million Hidden Hills mansion last year, sources say they had already begun living separate lives.
