America remains divided regarding Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime show announcement, with Turning Point USA (TPUSA) standing alongside critics.

The nonprofit organization founded by late conservative commentator Charlie Kirk recently announced it would host its own performance on the same day as the Puerto Rican rapper's show.

TPUSA's decision appeared to be a way of acknowledging the criticisms and concerns raised by displeased Americans over Bad Bunny's Spanish songs. The Charlie Kirk organization showcased its support by throwing shade at the entertainer with its upcoming show's song choices.

According to new reports, Kirk's nonprofit organization announced its intention to host its own halftime show on the same day as the Super Bowl. TPUSA broke the news with a flyer that claimed its show, titled "The All American Halftime Show," would celebrate "faith, family, & freedom."

More details about the upcoming show on the nonprofit's website revealed that they had created a signup sheet to know fans' preferred song choices. The options listed dissed Bad Bunny's Spanish language music, with the top preference reading, "Anything in English."

Despite the loud cries against his Super Bowl performance, Bad Bunny did not allow the criticisms to get to him. Instead, he mocked the public's disapproval during his "Saturday Night Live" appearance, joking that everyone could not wait to see him hit the famous stage in 2026.

The joke featured edited clips of Fox News anchors, saying, "Bad Bunny is my favorite musician and he should be the next president." Following the skit, Donald Trump shared his thoughts on the controversy while speaking on NewsMax's "Greg Kelly Reports."

The Blast covered the story, reporting that the host painted Bad Bunny as a troublemaker. Kelly told Trump the rapper was someone who "hates ICE," doesn't like the president, and "accuses everything he doesn't like of racism."

Following Kelly's unflattering review of Bad Bunny's character, Trump immediately became convinced he was the worst choice ever to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. He called out the NFL for making a big mistake, saying:

"I don't know why they're doing it. It's crazy. And then they blame it on some promoter they hired to pick up entertainment— I think it's absolutely ridiculous."

Before Kelly bashed the rapper, Trump confessed that he didn't know who Bad Bunny was. The president's comments came days after the artist, known as the "King of Latin Trap," was announced as the headliner for the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.

Following the halftime show headliner announcement, The Blast shared that Bad Bunny declared his performance would be a historical moment. "This is for my people, my culture, and our history," he noted in a press release.

While many were displeased with his achievement, not everyone was a critic. Showrunners, like rap icon Jay-Z, acknowledged the good Bad Bunny has done for Puerto Rico and noted he was honored to have him perform at the halftime show.

Jon Barker, NFL Senior VP of Global Event Production, echoed similar sentiments about Bad Bunny's incredible influence. He claimed the musician was a great choice because of his ability to bridge genres, languages, and audiences.

Besides showrunners, fans supported Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance. Some suspected he would use the show to make a political statement after refusing to tour in the US because of ICE raids. Meanwhile, others raved about a potential reunion with Jennifer Lopez.

The Blast reported that the support for a stage reunion between Lopez and Bad Bunny began after the multi-hyphenate star confessed that she would love to join him during his performance. The entertainers first performed together at the Super Bowl in 2020 with Shakira and J Balvin.

Lopez was also shocked by the criticisms surrounding Bad Bunny's upcoming performance, noting people would be "pleasantly surprised" when the time comes. She emphasized that his music transcended language and applauded him for achieving something most singers could not.

Will Charlie Kirk's nonprofit organization's halftime show have more viewers than Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance?
