The Spice Girls era was undoubtedly one for the books, but Victoria Beckham has her own take about it, and she's revealing it all.
The girl group shot to fame in the '90s, featuring Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Melanie Chisholm, and Emma Bunton. The team went on an indefinite hiatus in 2000, before returning for a world tour that culminated in a performance at the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
In a recent interview, Beckham gave a candid glimpse into what her time in the iconic pop group truly meant to her.
Victoria Beckham Opens Up About the Spice Girls Era, Admitting Where She Stands With Her Bandmates

More than two decades after stepping away from her pop star past, the fashion designer reflected on how the period being in the famous band affected her in ways she didn't enjoy.
Beckham admitted that she was defined by the phase, and it took nearly twenty years to move beyond that identity and feel comfortable revisiting the memories. She described recalling that four-year chapter of her life as an emotionally challenging experience.
“I'm not going to lie, being asked questions about when I was in the Spice Girls was quite triggering,” she told The Sunday Times. “And I'd say those were the most difficult moments. It was almost like therapy for me.”
She went on to express genuine affection and appreciation for her teammates. "I love the Spice Girls, I really do.” And it's been great reflecting on that time,” Beckham shared before mentioning recent interactions with Emma, Geri, and Mel B.
She continued, “I still speak to all of the girls. I'm so proud of everything we did. I wouldn't have been who I am now if it wasn't for the Spice Girls, 100 percent.”
Victoria Beckham Seemingly Sidelined Music Career in Netflix Documentary

During the interview, the TV personality shared that her upcoming Netflix documentary “Victoria Beckham” would show her time with the band but would not focus on it.
Instead, it would highlight her fashion journey, including the highs and lows she faced. The 51-year-old disclosed that her biggest challenge has been overcoming the perception that she was merely a "celebrity brand,” before revealing her bond with her husband and their kids.
Victoria, who is married to David Beckham, stated that they are "really close” with their four children, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
Victoria Beckham Skipped Mel B’s Wedding

Although Beckham maintained she is still in touch with her former bandmates, fans didn’t think so when she snubbed Mel B’s nuptials back in July.
As The Blast reported, Mel B tied the knot with hairstylist Rory McPhee in a lavish ceremony held at the Crypt of St.Paul's Cathedral in London, England, with Bunton being the only Spice Girl in attendance.
Fans who were eagerly anticipating a reunion noticed Beckham and Halliwell’s absence, calling it disappointing that only one bandmate showed up to support Mel B.
Despite missing the big day, Beckham found a heartfelt way to celebrate, sharing a sweet tribute to the “I Want You Back” singer on her Instagram Stories, sending her virtual love and congratulations.
A Reunion for Britain's Iconic '90s Girl Group

While Mel B's wedding didn't deliver the long-awaited reunion fans were hoping for, Mel B previously hinted that all five members will soon come together for something special.
According to The Blast, the 50-year-old teased a comeback in January 2024 without revealing too much, describing it as "the gift that keeps on giving" and assuring fans that they would be thrilled with what was to come.
At the same time, the former “Dancing With The Stars” alum acknowledged the difficulties of organizing anything involving all five women, pointing out that each of them has their own busy schedule and parenting.
Victoria Beckham's Son Brooklyn Snubbed Dad’s Main Football Event

Although Victoria failed to address the speculation of her oldest son, Brooklyn, being at odds with the family, his latest actions do not seem to be doing anything to stop the rumors.
As The Blast reported, the former model participated in a celebrity golf match held at Bethpage Black to celebrate the Ryder Cup. However, he revealed that he wouldn't be staying to watch the main soccer event between Inter Miami FC, co-owned by his father, David, and New York City FC.
Brooklyn explained that he had to return to Los Angeles right after the match to help his wife, who was home alone caring for their four dogs, and to get back to work.
