Taylor Swift is setting the record straight after rumors spread that she might quit music once she marries Travis Kelce.

In a new interview, the 35-year-old singer made it clear that she has no plans to step away from her career, adding that such speculations were offensive.

Swift, who just released her 12th studio album “The Life of a Showgirl,” spoke openly about her passion for her musical career and her supportive relationship with the NFL star.

During her October 6 interview, Swift was asked directly about the growing fan speculation surrounding her future in music.

BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills asked, “Don’t tell me this is your last album?” after hearing some fans worry that she might step back from her career after getting engaged.

The Grammy Award winner wasted no time correcting the record. “What? No,” Swift replied firmly.

Mills explained that some fans believed she would “get married, have children, and then it’s going to be her last album.”

The “Fate of Ophelia” singer found that idea both surprising and offensive.

“That’s a shockingly offensive thing to say,” she responded. “It’s not why people get married, so they can quit their job.”

Swift, who has spent nearly two decades building her music empire, emphasized that she has no plans to slow down. She reminded fans that love and marriage don’t mean giving up her passion.

Taylor Swift went on to speak warmly about her relationship with Kelce, explaining that her fiancé’s support is one of the things she loves most about him.

“I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do, and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music,” she shared during the interview.

According to Swift, Kelce’s dedication to his football career allows him to understand her creative drive.

“That’s the coolest thing about Travis; he’s so passionate about what he does that me being passionate about what I do, it connects,” she said.

The singer also dismissed the idea that marriage would ever become a reason to quit something she loves.

“There’s no point in time where he’s gonna be like, ‘I’m really upset that you’re still making music,’” Swift said.

She added, “Imagine [him saying], ‘The music that I signed up for, that I knew you love, I thought you were going to stop doing that.’”

While Swift and Kelce have very different careers, the pop icon revealed that they often see similarities in their professions.

“It just is the most fun thing in the world to support each other, and the polarity of how different our jobs are,” she said. “But there’s a lot of similarities, too.”

She explained that both of them perform for large crowds and dedicate long hours to perfecting their craft.

“We both as a living, as a job, as a passion, perform for three and a half hours in NFL stadiums. We both do three and a half hour shows to entertain people,” she added.

The singer added, “For him, it’s practice; for me, it’s rehearsal. For him, it’s a game; for me, it’s a show. We just call them different things. We both have teams. It’s a very similar thing.”

Swift was appearing on BBC Radio 2 to promote her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which was released on Friday, October 3.

The record has already broken sales records, with Billboard reporting that her 12th studio album sold an estimated 2.7 million copies within 24 hours in the United States.
