It's official!!! Nicole Kidman has filed to end her marriage to Keith Urban despite claims that she is fighting against their divorce.
The Hollywood veteran filed for divorce on Tuesday, September 30, a day after news of her separation from the country music singer broke. By the looks of the document, the former couple won't be heading down the contentious split road.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have made multiple headlines for their split, with new claims of another woman in the singer's life. They were married for 19 years from June 2006 until their reported separation in June 2025.
Nicole Kidman Reportedly Makes Abrupt Decision To End Her Marriage

According to new reports, sources claimed Kidman suddenly had a change of heart and decided to officially end her ties to Urban by filing for divorce. The document titled "Marital Dissolution Agreement" was reportedly signed by both Kidman and Urban.
The notary for Urban reportedly signed on August 29, 2025, while the notary for Kidman signed on September 6, 2025. The document featured a parenting plan, a child support worksheet, and additional terms that demonstrated the former spouses had resolved their differences before filing for divorce.
Kidman and Urban, per the document obtained by TMZ, had agreed to take co-parenting classes, hashed out a child custody agreement, and addressed any financial support issues. The update marked a stark contrast to previous reports of Kidman's desperate attempts to save her marriage.
Inside The Former Couple's Divorce Agreement

Per their agreement, Kidman and Urban's parenting plan stipulated that the actress would have their two daughters for 306 days, while the singer would have them for 59 days. They agreed to make all key decisions about their children jointly, including health care and education.
Their arrangement made Kidman the "primary residential parent of the minor children," as she requested in her divorce filing. As for support payments, which typically become a contentious issue for many couples, Urban and Kidman avoided the drama by waiving their rights to spousal and child support.
They agreed to keep their individual assets, and Kidman cited a clause that stated Urban had prepaid "child support obligations," which suggested they might have a prenuptial agreement. Additionally, Kidman cited Hollywood's favorite reason for divorce, "irreconcilable differences," in her filing.
The 'You'll Think Of Me' Singer Allegedly Has A New Woman

Before news of Kidman's divorce filing broke, The Blast reported that sources close to her had alleged reconciliation was not on the table because "all the signs point to the fact that Keith is with another woman."
The sources noted Kidman was "shocked" by the development, with one source claiming news of Urban's new relationship was "all over Nashville." However, none of the sources could pinpoint the timeline of the alleged romance, making it unclear if it was an affair or a rebound relationship.
News of Urban's alleged new relationship came a day after reports claimed he had separated from Kidman in June. Sources claimed the singer initiated their split, moved out of their family home, and relocated to a new property in Nashville.
The Entertainers' Paths Didn't Cross Until Adulthood

Kidman and Urban were the epitome of a fairytale romance, as they both grew up in Australia, but they didn't meet until they were adults in 2005. They crossed paths for the first time at the G'Day USA gala in Los Angeles and exchanged numbers.
The "Big Little Lies" star confessed in a 2017 interview that she had a massive crush on Urban when they met, but he surprisingly didn't call her for four months. When he finally did, the country music singer swiftly swept Kidman off her feet with his romantic gestures.
Kidman knew he was the man for her on her 38th birthday when Urban came to her apartment at 5 a.m. to bring her gardenias. She recalled him standing on the stoop of her apartment with the flowers, telling PEOPLE, "That is when I went, 'This is the man I hope I get to marry.'"
Nicole Kidman And Keith Urban Frequently Flaunted Their Relationship

While the love between them blossomed, Urban and Kidman never failed to flaunt it, frequently raving about their feelings for each other. She announced their engagement in May 2006 while hosting the 30th Anniversary gala for the United Nations Development Fund for Women.
They walked down the aisle on June 25, 2006, at St. Patrick's Estate, saying their vows in a candlelit ceremony in the beachside suburb of Manly in Sydney. Kidman's son and daughter, whom she welcomed from her first marriage to actor Tom Cruise, played a key role in the ceremony.
Kidman and Urban welcomed their first daughter, Sunday Rose, in July 2008, followed by their second daughter, Faith Margaret, in December 2010 via surrogate.
They supported each other throughout their union, with Kidman helping Urban overcome his alcohol addiction, while the singer supported her through her parents' deaths.
