The Hollywood veteran filed for divorce on Tuesday, September 30, a day after news of her separation from the country music singer broke. By the looks of the document, the former couple won't be heading down the contentious split road.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have made multiple headlines for their split, with new claims of another woman in the singer's life. They were married for 19 years from June 2006 until their reported separation in June 2025.

According to new reports, sources claimed Kidman suddenly had a change of heart and decided to officially end her ties to Urban by filing for divorce. The document titled "Marital Dissolution Agreement" was reportedly signed by both Kidman and Urban.

The notary for Urban reportedly signed on August 29, 2025, while the notary for Kidman signed on September 6, 2025. The document featured a parenting plan, a child support worksheet, and additional terms that demonstrated the former spouses had resolved their differences before filing for divorce.

Kidman and Urban, per the document obtained by TMZ, had agreed to take co-parenting classes, hashed out a child custody agreement, and addressed any financial support issues. The update marked a stark contrast to previous reports of Kidman's desperate attempts to save her marriage.

Per their agreement, Kidman and Urban's parenting plan stipulated that the actress would have their two daughters for 306 days, while the singer would have them for 59 days. They agreed to make all key decisions about their children jointly, including health care and education.

Their arrangement made Kidman the "primary residential parent of the minor children," as she requested in her divorce filing. As for support payments, which typically become a contentious issue for many couples, Urban and Kidman avoided the drama by waiving their rights to spousal and child support.

They agreed to keep their individual assets, and Kidman cited a clause that stated Urban had prepaid "child support obligations," which suggested they might have a prenuptial agreement. Additionally, Kidman cited Hollywood's favorite reason for divorce, "irreconcilable differences," in her filing.

The sources noted Kidman was "shocked" by the development, with one source claiming news of Urban's new relationship was "all over Nashville." However, none of the sources could pinpoint the timeline of the alleged romance, making it unclear if it was an affair or a rebound relationship.

News of Urban's alleged new relationship came a day after reports claimed he had separated from Kidman in June. Sources claimed the singer initiated their split, moved out of their family home, and relocated to a new property in Nashville.
