Diddy's efforts to regain his freedom as soon as possible may be for naught, given prosecutors' consistent demands for maximum punishment.

The Hip-Hop mogul fell from grace in September 2024 following his arrest and indictment on scathing sex-related charges. Although he escaped a guilty conviction for the crimes that would have given him life in prison, he may still spend a significant amount of time behind bars.

Diddy is set to be sentenced on Friday, October 3; however, prosecutors remain relentless in their fight for the maximum number of years in prison. Meanwhile, the rapper's legal team has attempted to sway the judge and advocate for leniency through good behavior tactics.

According to new legal documents, federal prosecutors in Diddy's case have declared their desire for maximum punishment, or "at least 135 months" in prison, and a $500k fine. 135 months equals eleven years and three months, meaning Diddy won't be regaining his freedom anytime soon.

Judge Arun Subramanian will decide Diddy's fate on October 3. Still, the disgraced rapper is facing a maximum sentence of twenty years after he was found guilty of two counts of transporting male prostitutes across state lines.

Prosecutors stressed that Diddy's crimes were heinous, citing similar cases where the convicts were given more than ten years behind bars for using violence and causing fear. The legal documents obtained by TMZ noted Diddy was "unrepentant" and needed to be severely punished.

Prosecutors emphasized Diddy's alleged lack of remorse for his crimes, claiming he confessed to using violence and being abusive during the trial before changing his tune. Instead of taking full responsibility for the pain and suffering he caused, Diddy tried to blame the victims.

Prosecutors accused him of attempting to paint his relationship with victims as "mutually toxic" and slammed the label. "There is nothing mutual about a relationship where one person holds all the power and the other ends up bloodied and bruised," they stressed.

On that note, prosecutors begged the judge to bring the hammer down on Diddy. They argued that his sentence should "reflect the substantial psychological, emotional, and physical damage he has inflicted."

Before prosecutors filed their demands for maximum punishment, The Blast covered Diddy's efforts to be released as soon as possible. His legal team argued that he had spent over a year behind bars at the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since his September 2024 arrest.

Diddy's reps argued that he should serve a 14-month sentence, imploring the judge not to follow sentencing guidelines. They claimed the guidelines did not cover the alleged "pervasive violence and inhumane conditions of confinement" Diddy endured at MDC Brooklyn.

The attorneys claimed Diddy's pain and suffering were enough punishment for his crimes, noting, "Mr. Combs has suffered physically and mentally, and continued incarceration serves no positive goal."

They also attempted to sway the court with good behavior tactics, alleging the rapper had been rehabilitated and could return to society.

Diddy's legal representatives pushed the good behavior narrative in their plea for leniency, with The Blast reporting that they included a letter from prison inmates. These messages contained raving reviews about the inmates' positive experience after taking the "Free Game With Diddy" course.

The course, taught by Diddy, reportedly offered inmates valuable business skills and the strategies Diddy himself used to become a music mogul. The participants expressed their love and support for him in their letters, noting that he had provided them with an unforgettable and crucial experience.

A letter by an inmate named Quinton Davis read, "The Free Game class with Mr. Combs has affected me in a good way and has impacted me because I've learned many things, like how to create a successful plan." Others echoed similar sentiments, thanking Diddy for his teachings.

Diddy's attempts to regain his freedom did not end with raving reviews from other inmates, as his family also penned letters to the judge asking for leniency. The Blast reported that his children were vocal about their desire for his return after he had been away for months.

Justin Dior Combs, Diddy's son with ex-girlfriend Misa Hylton, penned "FREE PD ASAP!!" in a social media post. He echoed similar sentiments in his letter to the judge, noting life felt incomplete since his father's arrest and subsequent absence.

Justin begged for Diddy's return home, claiming his dad was an essential part of his life and needed to be there for his children. The media personality's grandmother, Janice, shared the same view in her letter, noting she wished to see Diddy reunited with his children before it was too late.

Will prosecutors' demands for Diddy's severe punishment be granted on October 3?
