Antonio Brown Torches Donald Trump With Explosive Epstein Files Claim

Former NFL All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown is back in the headlines, this time not for football but for politics. Brown, who has been one of the most controversial figures in both sports and pop culture, has now taken aim at Donald Trump, a man he once publicly supported. His sharp remarks come in response to news about proposed legislation to honor conservative commentator Charlie Kirk with a commemorative U.S. coin. Antonio Brown’s remarks further complicate his rocky ties with Trump and drag him deeper into the heated debate over Charlie Kirk’s legacy and shocking death.

The backlash began Thursday when Brown reacted on X to a post from Florida’s Voice reporter Eric Daugherty, who shared that legislation had been filed in the U.S. House to mint 400,000 silver dollar coins featuring Charlie Kirk in 2026.

Brown, who has reportedly left the U.S. amid legal issues, mocked the move as a distraction from deeper scandals. “They’re doing literally the dumbest sh-t you can possibly think of just to avoid releasing the Epstein files,” he wrote, adding a laughing emoji to drive the point home.

The comments mark a dramatic shift for Brown, who just last year appeared on stage at a Donald Trump campaign rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. At the time, the retired wide receiver praised Trump’s business background and even credited him for supporting figures in the hip-hop world, citing high-profile pardons.

He also regularly boosted Trump through memes and posts across his social media accounts. But with this latest swipe, Brown seems to be backing away from the political figure he once endorsed.

Antonio Brown has made no secret of where his political loyalties lie. In May 2024, he formally endorsed Donald Trump’s presidential bid, citing admiration for Trump’s business acumen, his relationship with hip-hop figures, and the pardons he issued to rappers like Lil Wayne and Kodak Black.

Brown didn’t stop there. On October 19, 2024, he appeared at a Trump campaign rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, where he took the stage alongside Le’Veon Bell. During his speech, he framed his backing of Trump as an alignment of shared values. “He knows success, and he knows what it takes to make America great again,” Brown said, referencing the obstacles Trump has faced and overcome.

He also got involved in the ground game. In early October, Brown announced efforts to help register voters in Pennsylvania, a key swing state. His pro-Trump support has also been visible on social media, with memes, messages, and posts praising Trump’s influence on the music industry, business, and political sphere.

Antonio Brown stirred even more backlash during an interview with Caresha Brownlee, better known as rapper Yung Miami, when she pressed him on why he chose to back Trump over Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

When Caresha directly asked why Harris, who is of Black and South Asian heritage, failed to win his support, Brown’s response left many stunned. “You think a woman can run for president?” he said in disbelief, cutting her off mid-question.

Caresha immediately pushed back, saying, “I think Black women are powerful. Women are powerful. We go through a lot. We take care of men.” But Brown doubled down, replying, “I know but there’s a lot of emotions with women,” rolling out a long-debunked sexist trope often used to argue against women holding positions of power.

Of course, Antonio Brown’s name has long been tied to turbulence. The former wide receiver was one of the most dominant players of his era, earning four consecutive NFL All-Pro honors from 2014 to 2017, but his career was derailed by a string of off-the-field issues.

Brown has faced arrests, lawsuits, and accusations ranging from failing to pay child support to domestic violence charges. He was also arrested for allegedly assaulting a moving truck driver. Despite his undeniable talent, Brown was released by three different NFL teams (the Raiders, the Patriots, and the Buccaneers) due largely to behavior off the field.
