Ryan Lochte's Estranged Wife Kayla Accuses Him Of Snatching Kids From School, Then Hiding Their Location

The marital woes between Ryan Lochte and his estranged wife, Kayla Lochte, have taken a darker turn, as she has now accused the Olympic swimmer of hiding their children's location from her. Furthermore, Kayla, 34, has made bold allegations against Ryan's new girlfriend, whom she labels a "paramour" in court documents, claiming the partner has displayed "inappropriate" behavior toward her children at their school. These latest claims arrive just two weeks after Kayla told the court she was worried for her children's well-being due to her estranged husband's alleged issues with sobriety.

In a report from Us Weekly, Kayla, a Florida-based real estate agent, filed an emergency motion with the court, pleading for temporary child and spousal support from Ryan.

The filing questions Ryan's ability to care for their children and brings new attention to his girlfriend, whom Kayla's lawyer brands a "paramour" in the legal documents.

"Currently, [Ryan] is undermining [Kayla] as the mother of their children, as on multiple occasions he has brought his paramour of only a couple months to the minor children’s school to have lunch," Kayla's lawyers said on her behalf in court documents.

The latest filing also says Ryan's new partner has displayed unsettling behavior toward her minor children.

"The paramour has been witnessed following [one of their kids] down the school hallway in an attempt to hug her, saying ‘come here, I need a hug,’ despite [the child’s] protests," the documents continued. "[Ryan] does nothing to eradicate his paramour’s inappropriate behavior," Kayla's lawyer alleged.

Additionally, Kayla shared shocking details about a September 24 incident, alleging Ryan "unilaterally pulled the children from school after sending [Kayla]" a message. However, when Kayla asked for their location, the documents claim the gold medalist "refused to answer."

This is not the first time Kayla has expressed concern about Ryan's ability to care for their three children, Caiden, Liv, and Georgia. According to a previous report from The Blast, Kayla, a former Playboy Playmate, previously asked the court for primary custody of her children because sharing would be "detrimental" to their health.

Kayla further accused Ryan of having a "history of substance abuse," later revealing she's found empty baggies of "cocaine" around their shared home, including in their children's bedrooms and bathrooms.

Even more shocking is that Kayla later accused the "Traitors" star of not being an attentive father, claiming he would often "doze off during the day" and sometimes pass out "in the driver's seat" with the car still on and music blaring.

She later told the court that she once caught Ryan "inhaling nitrous oxide" in the presence of one of their children.

News of Ryan and Kayla's divorce first broke the internet in June 2025, when Kayla told her nearly 340,000 Instagram followers that she was leaving her husband after "deep prayer and reflection."

"Sometimes we face trials we didn't choose or see coming. And in those moments, we're forced to make the hardest decisions to protect our peace, our children, and our future. I've come to the understanding that staying isn't always the most loving decision someone can make. For me, leaving was an act of love — for those around me and for myself," she wrote in the caption.

In August 2025, Ryan showcased his new girlfriend, Molly Gillihan, in an Instagram post of his own, letting his supporters know that he had finally gotten to a great space.

"Happiness looks good on me. Can’t hear the outside noise. All smiles with you even thru obstacles thrown at us," he captioned the photo of the two of them smiling.

More information about what led to the downfall of Ryan's marriage to Kayla has continued to come to the surface, and one source shared startling details about his alleged infidelity, which might've been the last straw.

“He’s damaged so much of their marriage, and he’s broken her heart so many times that she doesn’t know if reconciliation is in their future," the insider shared, per a previous report from The Blast.

According to another report from The Blast, though, Ryan clapped back at the insider's claims, denying them while attempting to shield his new girlfriend from public scrutiny.

"There was no infidelity with Molly, like nothing," Ryan declared. "Molly didn't do anything wrong. She didn't pursue me, I pursued her."

Ryan explained that he didn't connect with Gillihan until after "I got served divorce papers," before sharing a pointed message for his estranged wife and the public.

"Kayla has blocked me on social media," he said. "She's the one that wanted this divorce in the first place and now she's playing this pity party."
