Taylor Swift Mocked For 'Wearing A Bedazzled Hot Dog Bun As A Corset'

Pop star Taylor Swift just can't catch a break! She has shared countless images and showgirl outfits in order to promote her latest album, "The Life of a Showgirl," which was officially released on October 3. However, many fans have constantly criticized the artwork from her latest album, comparing the very first image to "dirty bath water" and critiquing her "flat" expression in many of the photos. In a photo posted a week before the album release, many fans criticized the poor Photoshop job and her outfit, with one user comparing it to a hot dog bun!

Scroll for the photo. A week before the "Love Story" singer dropped her new album, she released promotional artwork that featured her standing in a Showgirl outfit in front of a wall that featured some of the other images from her Showgirl era. Many fans complained about the way the photos looked as if they were copied and pasted into the frame without taking the time to make them look natural in the frame.
Other fans were quick to call out other apparent Photoshop fails, including the wallpaper under her arm, a spot on the wall near her legs, and the misplaced shadows throughout the image. Other fans zoomed in on the stool in the background, claiming that the awkward pattern and misplaced shadows around the legs of the stool were proof of AI.

It was clear that many fans were frustrated by the amateur work seen in the photo, when it's clear that the "Cruel Summer" singer can afford much better. One user took to Reddit to air their grievances, asking, "Why are the photos getting weirder???"
“The lazy photoshopping of the background ‘portraits' is killing me. They didn't add shadows or any depth to make them look like that was actually what was in the frame,” one fan commented, prompting another to write, “The cropping of them is so bad. This is insanely terrible. I am in awe.”

When one user pointed out that the “wallpaper below her arm” was “all out of focus,” another user shared, “AI makes way more sense as to why she'd be wearing a bedazzled hot dog bun as a corset.”
Many users have complained that her hair wasn’t “done” in past photos. The style in this photo prompted one user to realize that it was artificially created, writing:
“As soon as I saw that her hair was done, I realized it was AI-generated. Almost like she saw all the roasting on this sub about how unkempt her hair looked in the officially released photos, so she made sure to generate an image with the old school Taylor waves to show it being ‘done.’”

In addition to problems with the photos, others just feel like the “Showgirl” persona doesn’t fit with her brand at all. “This aesthetic not only doesn’t fit her at all, it goes against her entire brand that she has been building for the past two decades. It makes no sense,” one user wrote.
Another follower agreed, writing, “It's a complete about-face from the 'tortured poet' shtick of the last album. No transition at all, just, ‘Well, that flopped, let's do the opposite.’”
