Dove Cameron made summer headlines for a high-profile Nylon feature as she promoted her new album. The actress and singer, 29, stunned in her accompanying shoot, showcasing her petite frame in an array of edgy looks as she used a lollipop as a prop. Teasing fans with her sexy photos, Dove wound up with a backup account on Instagram, reposting the snaps, and they didn't go unnoticed. While Dove rocked a metallic, vintage Versace minidress for her cover, she also sizzled in a G-string look in another image, one showing her seductively sucking on her lollipop. Modeling a simple white tank top from Buck Mason, Dove went braless in her shoulder-baring look, adding a dark pair of vintage Gucci pants. Highlighting her curves and slender waistline, the former Disney star went pared down with relatively little makeup, leaning forward a little as she sucked on her lollipop.

Tugging at her belt-effect G-string while teasing her cheeky underwear, Dove wore her hair tied back and slicked with gel, allowing a loose curl around her forehead to frame her face. The Descendants star, who has not yet revealed the name of her debut studio album, opted for dewy foundation and highlighter, plus blush, sending out a fresh-faced glow as she delivered direct eye contact.

She completed her look with chunky ring jewelry, long red nails, and a reminder of her tattoos.

Out-takes from Dove Cameron's shoot also included this close-up footage as the blonde pouted while sucking on her sweet treat. Looking immaculate with heavier makeup here, Dove sported a matte look complete with powder and blush, also flaunting her bee-stung pout with a lined lip finish.

"I [have] to really microdose my presence in the industry, because I just don't flourish where I'm constantly on camera anymore," Dove told Nylon, adding: "Maybe I did it too much when I was younger, but I think I've finally gotten a handle on it."

Dove Cameron also discussed her self-esteem and the evolution of her style, plus her mental health.

"I've been covering mirrors lately. I've been feeling wrong in clothing that used to make me feel beautiful lately. I've been crying a lot lately, sometimes terrorized by my identity and image…. Sexuality and performative gender norms, societal rewards, and identity are really throwing me for a loop," she stated.
