As Sean "Diddy" Combs awaits his upcoming sentencing, the hip-hop mogul has received surprising words of support from behind bars.

The inmates discussed how the rapper taught them business skills through a course he tagged "Free Game with Diddy." The comments from the inmates were submitted as additional letters of support to Judge Arun Subramanian.

Sean "Diddy" Combs' lawyers will also argue in court on Thursday that he should be either acquitted of the Mann Act counts he was convicted of in his sex crimes trial or given a new trial for the charges.

If the schedule holds, Diddy is set to be sentenced on October 3 for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, charges on which he was convicted during his sex crimes trial.

In the lead-up to sentencing, Diddy's legal team is still working to persuade Judge Arun Subramanian to show leniency toward the hip-hop mogul by submitting fresh letters of support from inmates at the MDC facility where he has been held since his September 2024 arrest.

In the letters, Diddy's inmates detailed how taking the Bad Boy Records founder's "Free Game With Diddy" course taught them valuable business skills that have positively impacted them, according to TMZ.

"The Free Game class with Mr. Combs has affected me in a good way and has impacted me because I've learned many things, like how to create a successful plan. And that plan has to be realistic," said inmate Quinton Davis.

"I was really appreciative to receive some knowledge of sort[s] to take back to the real world an[d] not have to think about doing something illegal. He taught me to come up with a plan," another inmate, Charles Scruggs, shared.

Beyond teaching business skills, Diddy's course provided inmates with "exclusive access to the strategies behind" his rise to "becoming a globally recognized business leader," per the Daily Mail.

They were also taught "lessons in resilience, decision-making, accountability, and adaptability."

The course lasted six weeks and was offered on a first-come, first-served basis as part of the MDC's Adult Continuing Education program.

To successfully complete the program, participants were required to submit an essay demonstrating how they integrated the course lessons into their "long-term" ambitions and how they planned to apply the tools in real-world situations.

Some of the key points in the class outline included positive-thinking reminders such as: "Successful people do what unsuccessful people won't do" and "Outwork the competition."

Others include "You can make money, but you can't make time," "Don't stop," and "Never Give Up."

The commendation from the inmates comes just days after Diddy's legal team submitted support letters from the rap mogul's community.

More than 75 letters of support were written, including those from his mother, Janice Combs, his six eldest children, and some of his exes, such as rapper Yung Miami.

Diddy's lawyers hope the judge will be convinced to agree to a 14-month sentence with supervised release that includes drug treatment, therapy, and group sessions.

However, prosecutors are pushing for a much longer prison term, as the two Mann Act counts the rapper was convicted of carry a maximum sentence of up to 10 years.

They are expected to file their recommendation on sentencing on Monday, after which Diddy will be sentenced on October 3.

With the view that sentencing may not swing in Diddy's favor despite the letters of support, his lawyers will be in court on Thursday to try to have the conviction overturned completely.

In their argument, they will seek either an acquittal or a new trial for Diddy to defend himself, per TMZ.

Federal prosecutors already oppose both requests and have previously argued in court that there was ample evidence to support the jury's Mann Act convictions.

Prosecutors Insist The Rapper Was More Than A Viewer At His Alleged 'Freak Offs'

According to reports, prosecutors also slammed Diddy's "swinger" lifestyle claims, arguing there was more to his drug-fueled parties.

They said Diddy "fully participated" in his alleged "Freak Offs" by "directing the sexual conduct between escorts and victims and masturbating throughout the sexual episode."

This, they claimed, disproved the rapper's argument that he was merely a voyeur and amateur photographer who "just liked to watch."
