Kim Kardashian Confronts Kris Jenner Over Emmy-Winning Secret

Kim Kardashian had fans in stitches this week after calling out her mom, Kris Jenner, during a hilarious interview.

The 44-year-old reality television star opened up about a blind date gone wrong, revealing that Jenner tricked her into meeting an Emmy-winning TV executive years ago.

What was supposed to be a job interview turned out to be something else entirely, and Kim did not hold back while reliving the awkward memory.

Kim explained that the uncomfortable night happened before “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” even began filming.

According to her, Jenner told her she had a “job interview” lined up at the famous Los Angeles restaurant, The Ivy. Trusting her mom, Kim arrived with her resume in hand, ready to talk business.

“I had a resume on me,” she recalled on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon,” as the audience laughed. “I don’t think she thought I’d be so prepared to bring a resume. Once I - like, five minutes in, I realized what was up.”

To her surprise, her mom had told the executive it was a date. Meanwhile, Kim thought she was pitching career ideas.

“And it was, like, this TV executive. And she told me it was a job interview, but she told him it was a date,” Kim shared, shaking her head at the memory.

The funniest part of the story came when Jimmy Fallon pressed Kim on how the evening actually went.

The socialite admitted there had been “no chemistry” at all. However, when Jenner began to add her own commentary, the situation quickly turned into a playful confrontation.

“He totally knew because he was also an Emmy award-winning -” the 69-year-old began, but Kim cut her off mid-sentence, blurting out, “Mom, can you stop!”

The audience roared with laughter, and Fallon covered his face in disbelief. Kim then jokingly turned to her mom and said, “I was like, ‘I’m going to kill you.’”

The comment earned another round of laughs, showing just how embarrassed she still felt years later.

Even Khloe Kardashian, who was seated with them, couldn’t help chiming in.

When Jenner mentioned that the executive once joked about bringing his Emmy to impress Kim, Khloe immediately called it “a red flag.”

Although Jimmy Fallon pressed for more details about the mystery man, Jenner refused to reveal his identity.

“No, I’m not going to say his name,” she insisted, before adding, “But he said, ‘Would it help if I brought my Emmy with me?’”

The crowd gasped and laughed, but the reality TV star clarified that the man had only been joking.

Still, she admitted she knew the relationship wasn’t going to work out from the very beginning.

Kim Kardashian, however, couldn’t resist poking fun at her mom’s matchmaking style.

“She also wanted to set me up with someone that thought, like, an Emmy was what was going to, like, seal the deal,” the mom of four quipped while looking at Jenner.

When Fallon asked if she still knew the executive today, Jenner simply smiled and replied, “I plead the fifth.”

Kim’s dating life also became a hot topic during her interview.

The TV host reminded her that her four children had been making lists of potential partners for her.

“The last time you were here, we talked about how your kids were ready for you to date. And they were making lists of people that you should date,” Fallon said.

Kim smiled and admitted, “They continue to do that.” However, she didn’t reveal any names.

Following her high-profile split from Kanye West, she dated comedian Pete Davidson in 2022 and was later linked to NFL star Odell Beckham Jr., until their breakup in April 2024.

Earlier this year, she teased that she was “secretly” seeing someone new, but on Fallon’s show, she made it clear that her kids’ matchmaking is the only action happening at the moment.

Adding to the lighthearted mood, actor Mark Wahlberg, who was also a guest on the episode, told a funny story about how Kim Kardashian’s name once caused chaos in his house.

Wahlberg explained that he had secretly adopted a dog for his wife and children. Wanting to make it a surprise, he told his kids, “Somebody really important is coming today.”

His children immediately assumed it was Kim. They even told their mom to get the house ready because the star was about to visit.

“My wife started panicking,” Wahlberg joked, before admitting he had to break the news that Kim wasn’t coming. Instead, he revealed the surprise was a new family dog.

Though his wife was initially upset about not being part of the adoption, she eventually fell in love with the pup.

“Now we have six dogs,” the Hollywood icon laughed, adding the story to the night’s theme of unexpected surprises.
