Tom Holland recently suffered a medical emergency that led to production on "Spider-Man" 4 being placed on hold.
It has now been revealed that the pause would result in a significant financial loss for the movie, as they still have to cover some ongoing costs while the actor takes time off to recover.
It remains to be seen how fast Tom Holland will recover, but he seemed in high spirits as he attended a Charity event with his fiancée and co-star, Zendaya, over the weekend.
'Spider-Man 4' Production Pause To Cost Around $14M

Holland's health scare while on set for the fourth installment of "Spider-Man" last week would result in a staggering financial loss of £10.5 million [$14 million].
The lead actor suffered an on-set injury last Friday after a stunt went wrong during filming and was rushed to the hospital following the unfortunate incident.
Holland is expected to be out for up to a week as he recovers from the mild concussion, but reports suggest that his absence, which has led to filming being halted, will cost the producers approximately £1.5 million [$2 million] a day until he returns.
According to the Daily Mail, Industry sources explained that the loss is tied to several running costs, including paying the idle cast and crew, renting equipment, and studio space.
"It's a headache for any production to have to pause filming, but with a movie of this scale, it will be a huge migraine for the producers and studio," a source said. "Crew still needs to be paid throughout the delay, and there are also secondary location costs to consider."
"While health and safety come first, everyone on the shoot will be hoping to get the cameras rolling again sooner rather than later," they added.
The Loss Could Spike Higher

Holland stars as the iconic Marvel character in "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" with an estimated budget of £150 million [$200 million].
He first played the role in the film's first instalment, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2016, before reprising the role in 2019 for "Spider-Man: Far From Home," and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in 2021.
With the enormous budget allocated to it, a film director told the Daily Mail that "the daily running costs are immense," which suggests that the production could incur additional losses.
"Once you factor in cast, crew, set locations, equipment, and the logistical machine that keeps a blockbuster moving, each day of filming can cost between $1.5 and $2 million," Emeka Egbuonu told the news outlet.
He continued, "The challenge is that even when filming halts, many of those costs don't disappear — the crew still need to be paid, sets need to be maintained, and equipment continues to be on hire."
The film director added that it represents a "significant financial hit for the studio, and putting added pressure on schedules and delivery timelines."
Tom Holland Was Rushed To The Hospital

Earlier this year, it was reported that the film's release date had been pushed back until July next year. However, following Holland's health scare, it remains to be seen if the production will meet the tight deadline.
The incident happened at Leavesden Studios in Watford, U.K., leaving the 29-year-old actor in need of medical attention for a mild concussion.
According to a report, an East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said that they were "called at 10.30 am on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford."
"An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to the hospital for further care," they added.
The Actor Attended A Charity Event After His Accident

Although the extent of his injuries is not known, the actor managed to attend a charity event after the accident and was supported by his fiancée and co-star Zendaya.
The couple, who have remained private about their relationship, struck up a romance after meeting on the set of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2016, where they were cast as the leads and love interests Peter Parker and MJ.
The charity quiz night held in London's Mayfair on Saturday in support of The Brothers Trust, the charity Holland runs with his three siblings, Sam, Harry, and Paddy.

In photos shared on social media, Holland appeared to be in high spirits, wearing a lush black suit with a crisp white shirt and a black bow tie.
Zendaya wore a black long-sleeved minidress with black tights and matching pointed heels, and styled her hair in a low bun with a side part.
