Ladies of "The View" are standing very tall on their opinions about Jimmy Kimmel's firing!

The hosts of the talk show have finally broken their silence and joined several notable TV giants to speak on what they described as acts of the government to deny Americans free speech.

"The View" panelists have avoided the conversation for two episodes now, following claims that Jimmy Kimmel's exit caused severe backstage chaos.

'The View' Hosts Insist Free Speech Is Everyone's Natural Right, Including Jimmy Kimmel

Whoopi Goldberg, alongside her co-hosts Ana Navarro, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, all assembled today to discuss Kimmel's situation.

Goldberg was the first to speak, noting that they were initially waiting to see if Kimmel would address the issues, hence the protracted silence.

"Y'all really think we were not gonna talk about Jimmy Kimmel? I mean, have you watched the show over the last 29 seasons? You know, no one silences us," Goldberg declared. The comedian and actress reminded the audience that they were not silent about Stephen Colbert's issue either.

She emphasized that the government has no right to apply pressure to get someone taken off air, as she slammed Donald Trump for failing to use the First Amendment where it mattered, despite being the president of the free world.

In the PEOPLE report, the show also showed tapes of Ted Cruz and Rand Paul registering their displeasure with the direction Kimmel's issue took.

Ana Navarro Likened The Current Political Atmosphere In America To A Dictatorship

Goldberg's co-host chipped in, expressing shock at how Charlie Kirk, who constantly platformed free speech while he was alive, now has his legacy trampled upon by the government. Navarro noted that she disagreed with the senseless and horrible assassination of Kirk, despite her opposition to his views.

Navarro continued that she finds it amusing that the First Amendment, which protects the freedom of the press and freedom of speech, has been turned into a witch-hunting tool by the government to "bully and scare people into silence."

She detailed her experience living through a dictatorship system in Nicaragua, where the dictators and authoritarians came after people with influence and silenced the press.

"But then they come for all of us, because they intend to scare us into silence and self-censorship. A bully always comes back for more," Navarro declared, encouraging everyone to stand up and demand more from each other.

Griffin warned viewers to have a deep retrospection about the precedent this single act has set for future occurrences.

'The View' Panelists Were Reportedly Conflicted Over Discussing The Issue

As reported by The Blast on Friday, the news of Kimmel's dismissal reportedly put other staff at the ABC Network in a state of confusion on what to say or the next step to take.

For hosts of "The View," their body language after the scandal and their failure to immediately speak on the issue had fans drawing up several theories.

Many viewers speculated that ABC had warned them to avoid the scandal, but a source clarified that it is a general rule at ABC for hosts of one show to avoid speaking ill of another show on the network.

Some staff backstage were also concerned about the speech limits that could emerge from that singular act, as they foreshadowed stricter censorship. Other insiders revealed that hosts of "The View" werestunned the network did not come for them, too.

While they wanted to support him, they were scared of being canceled themselves; hence, the consensus between them was to wait for the dust to settle before speaking up.

Federal Communications Commission Chair Earlier Placed 'The View' On Watch List

The Blast noted that Brendan Carr, during his appearance on "The Scott Jennings Radio Show", affirmed that Kimmel's suspension may mark the start of intense regulatory measures on broadcasters.

The chairman wondered why "The View" is exempted from some broadcasting requirements and noted that the arrangement may be removed.

"It's worthwhile to have the FCC look into whether 'The View' and some of the programs that you have still qualify as bona fide news programs and therefore are exempt from the equal opportunity regime that Congress has put in place," Carr explained.

Currently, the program is classified as a "bona fide news" show, which protects it from the FCC's Equal Time Rule. As a "bona fide news" show, it is allowed to make provision for comparable airtime to opposing political candidates.

The exemption from the FCC's Equal Time Rule also allows the show and similar programs to carry on their show without balancing political angles.

Vance reacted to news of Kimmel's exit, dismissing the overwhelming reports that the move was against free speech and taking a swipe at Kimmel's fame over the years.

The vice president emphasized that the TV veteran's lack of humor led to abysmal ratings for his shows, leaving advertisers uncertain about whether to partner with him.

He also slammed the left for their sudden concern for free speech after they lived through Joe Biden's regime and paid little attention to his political tactics. Kimmel has not left the over 200 backstage workers in the dark despite his exit from ABC, as they would reportedly earn wages throughout this week.

The former show host also displayed a similar heroic act during the Los Angeles fire earlier in the year when he supported crew members with his personal funds after studios shut down production.

Now that "The View" panelists have spoken, will a dire consequence befall them?
