Stephen Amell Kicked Off Flight For Having A Heated Argument With Wife

Stephen Amell confirmed reports that he was kicked off a Delta flight after a verbal fight with his wife.

The "Arrow" actor, 40, took to Twitter after news of the Monday, June 21 incident broke and claimed that the reports of the fight between him and Cassandra Jean Amell were blown out of proportion.

"My wife and I got into an argument Monday afternoon on a Delta flight from Austin to LA. I was asked to lower my voice and I did. Approximately 10 minutes later I was asked to leave the flight. And I did so immediately. I was not forcibly removed," Amell made clear in a Wednesday morning tweet.

"I rebooked myself on a Southwest flight 2 hours later and traveled home without any further issue," he continued. "I let my emotions get the better of me, end of story. Must be a slow news cycle."

Cassandra Jena has not publicly addressed the situation yet.

The couple was in Austin, Texas, for the ATX Television Festival, and Cassandra even shared a picture from the event on social media. "We had a pretty good time @atxfestival," she captioned her post.

Page Six reports that Amell was allegedly yelling at Cassandra and ignored the Delta flight attendant's pleas to calm down. Stephen was escorted out by several flight attendants and an air marshal, according to the outlet.

The airline issued a statement to Page Six about the incident. "Delta flight 966 on June 21 took a brief, eight minute departure delay after an unruly customer was deplaned from the aircraft prior to departure in Austin. The flight arrived ahead of schedule at Los Angeles International Airport."

Stephen and Cassandra were married in December 2012 before getting hitched again in New Orleans in May 2013. The first ceremony was private, and family and friends surrounded them for their second. They share 7-year-old daughter, Mavi Alexandra Jean Amell.
