Sylvester Stallone has opened up about why he has no regrets leaving Hollywood behind for a fresh start in Florida.

The actor first revealed his decision on his reality show last year, announcing that he and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, were done with Los Angeles for good. Just last month, the couple also gave fans a glimpse inside their new $35.4 million Florida estate.

At the time, Sylvester Stallone's wife explained that she was drawn to the property for its "livable size." The home sits on 1.5 lakefront acres and offers more than 250 feet of beachfrontage and a private dock.

Nearly a year after announcing his permanent move to Florida, Sylvester Stallone says he has no regrets about the decision.

In a conversation with Fox News Digital, the actor shared his love for life in the Sunshine State and outlined the reasons behind his fondness for Florida.

"First of all, the air seems to always be clean. We're very, very near the water, and that makes my wife incredibly happy. It makes me happy, and it's just something about it. It's just so lush," he revealed to the outlet.

Moving to Florida was also some sort of homecoming for the "Tulsa King" star, who is currently residing in a $35.4 million home he purchased with his wife, Jennifer Flavin, in 2021.

"I went to college there for a couple of years," Stallone added. "So, I'm not a stranger to the environment, but it fits my personality much better," he concluded.

Although the couple only announced the official move in 2024 on Stallone's reality show, much of the relocation seemed to have occurred since 2021, the same year they purchased the home.

The estate spans roughly 1.5 acres along the lake, including more than 250 feet of waterfront and its own private dock.

Altogether, the property offers over 13,000 square feet of living area, spread across a main residence, a guesthouse, and a poolside pavilion beside a keyhole-shaped swimming pool.

Inside, the residence is outfitted with seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms as seen in its Realtor.com listing.

Among its standout spaces is a room showcasing Andy Warhol's portraits of Stallone from "Rocky III," a detail the couple revealed in their interview with Veranda last month.

Some other rooms also highlight pieces by artist LeRoy Neiman, who famously exchanged his paintings for a cameo as the ring announcer in the "Rocky" films.

In the interview with Veranda, Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, also revealed how they ended up purchasing their current home out of the numerous choices they were presented with.

"We looked at some of the houses built after COVID, and they were monstrosities," Stallone revealed at the time. "Monumental structures, but none of them embraced you or made you feel warm. You felt as though you were in a hotel lobby."

They eventually came to see their current home, and according to Flavin, they were immediately won over due to its "livable size."

Even better, the home "automatically felt inviting," which was a key part of the reasons they ultimately made the purchase.

Back in late 2023, Flavin also opened up about the relocation, calling it an "incredible move" during an interview with Fox News Digital at the inaugural "Rocky Day" celebration.

She went on to say she was "really happy with our move," and cited several reasons that influenced her and Stallone to make the change.

"I was born and raised there, two of our kids were born there, but now everyone's out, our daughters moved to the East Coast … so there wasn't really anything left for me in California," Flavin noted.

She continued, "A few of our best friends also moved, so I think it's [a] good change, just making new friends, living a totally different lifestyle, I love it, I'm really happy."

While speaking about their relocation, Flavin also shut down any speculation that she moved because of the crime rates in Hollywood.

"There's crime everywhere, there's crime in Florida, too, so I didn't move because of crime," she noted at the time, stating how there's nowhere in America without crime.

"You can find it anywhere you look, even in small towns," the mother of three added.
