Prince Harry's 'Change Of Heart' About Kids' Schooling To Clash With Meghan Who Finds It 'Barbaric,' Insider Claims

Prince Harry had a meeting with his estranged father, King Charles, over tea last week, and he seems to be making headway on his bid to reconcile with the royal family.
Reports suggest that his motive behind seeking a rapprochement is partly tied to his confidence in his home country's education system, which he prefers for his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
However, while King Charles is understood to be happy with his decision, a close confidante of the duke revealed it won't sit well with his wife, Meghan Markle, who finds boarding school "barbaric."
Prince Harry's Extraordinary 'Change Of Heart' About His Kids' Schooling

Since quitting his royal role and relocating abroad to live with his family, Harry and his family have been estranged, especially after the controversial claims he made in his bombshell memoir "Spare."
The Duke of Sussex was briefly able to see his father in February last year after it was revealed he was battling an undisclosed form of cancer. However, he was in the UK last week for a series of charity events and was able to privately meet with his father, where they chatted for over 50 minutes.
It was initially thought that Harry wouldn't consider staying in the UK, especially after he spoke highly of life in the US last December, saying he "enjoys living and bringing my kids up here," and that it feels like that was the life "my mum wanted for me."
A report has now emerged suggesting he would relish relocating to his home country, as he considers the educational system to be better for his children.
A friend of Harry told the Daily Mail's Richard Eden that he has retained his close contacts from his days at Eton and "wants that for his children."
"I can tell you that Harry wants to educate the children here in the UK," the source who spoke with Harry on his return to the country last week told the news outlet.
"Harry feels his children are missing out on the extensive family network that their niece and nephews are enjoying," they added, referencing Prince William and Kate's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, all of whom currently attend Lambrook school in Berkshire.
Meghan Markle Considers Boarding School 'Barbaric,' But Harry Has Reservations About American Schools

Pop star Joss Stone, who spoke with Harry last week at the WellChild awards, shared the same thought when she told Hello! Magazine that Harry may likely relocate to the UK, as he "was saying how wonderful the schools are here and how important community is for children."
According to the Daily Mail, the Duke of Sussex also has strong reservations about schools in America and would prefer for the young prince and princess to attend school in the UK.
However, Harry's "change of heart" could create strain with his wife, Meghan, who is said to find the idea of sending children to boarding school "barbaric."
The duke's alleged friend further added that "there is still some negotiation for Harry to have with Meghan," but King Charles "is delighted with it, which could mean the issue was discussed between father and son when they met at Clarence House last week."
Prince Harry Has Taken A 'Massive Step' Towards Reconciliation With The Royal Family

Royal experts consider Harry's meeting with Charles as a "massive step" towards repairing strained ties and rebuilding trust.
"It's a massive step in the right direction," Queen Elizabeth's former spokeswoman Ailsa Anderson told People Magazine. "It's a building of trust."
In fact, the absence of his stepmother, Queen Camilla, from the meeting is seen as a welcoming sign that he has built trust with the royal family.
In "Spare," Harry came down hard on Camilla, accusing her of leaking stories about the royal family to the British press to maintain her image and boost her popularity.
Their relationship has remained strained as he also accused her of playing "the long game, a campaign aimed at marriage and eventually the Crown."
"The fact that Camilla wasn't there – when she was before — would show that Harry has signaled something to him that he could be trusted one-on-one," royal author Sally Bedell Smith explained.
Prince Harry Says He's Not 'Miserable' And Likes The Life That He Lives In The US

After his meeting with King Charles, Prince Harry opened up about the reunion during a chat with The Guardian and revealed his plans to make more trips to the UK.
"The focus really has to be on my dad," Harry told the publication. He also shared that the meeting has made the idea of bringing his kids to the country a possibility.
"Yes, I would," the duke said when asked if he planned to visit again with his kids. "This week has definitely brought that closer."
However, while he feels much better about making trips to the UK, Harry stressed that he is very content with life in the US.
"I think parts of the British press want to believe that I am miserable, but I'm not," the prince noted. "I am very happy with who I am, and I like the life that I live."
The Duke's Stepmother Will Not 'Forgive Easily'

Although Harry has made progress in repairing his broken relationship with his wife, Camilla may be completely shut out of doing the same with him.
A source shared that Queen will not be looking to "forgive easily," following the "extremely unkind" remarks he made about her in his memoir.
"He has been extremely unkind to her in print and in word, and she doesn't forgive easily," a palace insider told The Times of London.
They went further to share that while some members of the royal family may eventually bury the hatchet, few will be able to do so, particularly Camilla and his estranged brother Prince William.
"The royal family makes elephants look like they have short memories," the insider added.
