Angel Reese is no stranger to handling big moments. From championship games to gracing the cover of Vogue, the 23-year-old WNBA sensation knows she's a massive talent whose star is only getting brighter.

She's likely feeling that way in this moment, considering that tomorrow, September 18, 2025, Reese, who partnered with Reebok during her time at Louisiana State University (LSU), is releasing the first edition of her signature shoe, the "Angel Reese 1."

The basketball sneaker will launch in three unique colorways (with more to follow in the coming months), perfectly blending Reese's unapologetic nature into one sleek design. And while I was prepared to share my thoughts on the shoe after its release, I got my hands on two pairs early, and let me tell you, they live up to the hype.

First things first, Reese's signature shoe, the "Angel Reese 1," drops on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 10 AM EST on Reebok.com and at Dick's Sporting Goods retailers.

For those who might have missed it, the debut launch of the AR1 will feature three distinct colorways: an all-white look, named "Diamond Dust," an all-pink sneaker called "Mebounds," and a classic black and white design titled "Receipts Ready."

As previously covered by The Blast, the Chicago Sky star's shoe draws inspiration from Reebok's Mobius line. It incorporates the footwear giant's iconic Exoskeleton upper, flawlessly blending Reese's on-court flair with her off-court style.

At the time, Reese made sure to let the public know that the release of the "Angel Reese 1" isn't "just the launch of another signature shoe."

"It's my style, my story, and my stamp on the game," she said.

How Do The Angel Reese 1s Fit?

Now that the shoes are finally in hand, I can tell you more about the product. The Blast previously reported on the performance technology incorporated in the shoe, including the company's notable Energy Return System (ERS), which provides athletes with stability and flexibility.

We also explained that the design features a TPU stability cup and high-abrasion rubber outsoles, delivering exceptional traction and grip for the world's best ballers.

"Reebok and I built something that's true to who I am, and I hope it pushes others to stand in their power, too," Reese said about the shoe. "At the end of the day, it's built for basketball, made to move and perform at the highest level."

And after trying them on and testing them out, I can confidently say that Reese is right. The "Angel Reese 1" is a stellar product.

The sneaker fits perfectly, neither too small nor too large. There's enough space throughout, even for those with a slightly wider foot, and the Mobius-inspired panels offer excellent ventilation, making it perfect for breathability.

The 'Angel Reese 1' Has Flashes Of Reese's Personality All Over

CEO and President at Reebok, Todd Krinsky, previously said that Reese's signature sneaker would be a turning point for the footwear company. He also boasted about the organization's star athlete, Reese, and how ensuring her "unique mix of elegance and strength" was captured in the shoe's design was an important step in the production process.

"Every element – from the molded overlays to the heritage-inspired traction – was made to celebrate Angel and how she is redefining what it means to be an athlete," he said.

For example, her personal logo—a combination of her initials with a halo—is stamped on the side of the shoe, while massive "A" and "R" initials are woven into the sole.

Reese echoed a similar sentiment in a separate interview, explaining how important it was that she designed a shoe that was versatile and could be worn in more than one setting. "I really wanted to have a shoe that I can wear on the court, but also in the tunnel 'fits, fashion moments, events, and big things," she said.

Reese's signature sneaker with Reebok has been a long time coming. She signed a name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal with the brand in October 2023 and spoke openly about her desire to inspire others to be themselves with their collaboration.

"Together, I think we have a great opportunity to do things differently, to inspire people to explore and express themselves unapologetically, and to show them how to look and feel good while doing it," she said.

Reebok's President of Basketball, Shaquille O'Neal, was ecstatic about the company signing Reese. In a statement, he called the national champion the "GOAT" before highlighting the impact she's had on the game of basketball.

"Angel is shaking up the space, just like Reebok has done all along. I'm proud to welcome Angel into the Reebok family and can't wait to see how she will bring the brand's legacy to the next generation," he said.

And while Reese and Reebok are only releasing three initial colorways on September 18, fans should mark their calendars for additional releases in October and November 2025, respectively.

One report from The Blast details Reese's "Charm City" colorway, a purple and black design that pays homage to her hometown. "This one's for Charm City, to honor my roots and the community of Baltimore that has backed me from day one," she said. "This city gave me my grit and made me who I am today."

In November, she'll release the "Giving Grace" design, a slate grey look with a powerful message.

"Giving Grace is more than just a shoe name, it's a reflection of who I am and the journey I've walked," said Reese. "This colorway represents the strength to keep moving when the road is uncertain, the courage to rise after setbacks, and the kindness to extend grace to others as well as yourself. These shoes tell my story, and I hope they inspire others to walk in grace, strength, and resilience."
