Travis Kelce is facing backlash from attorney Marc Lenahan, who represents one of the victims injured in the 2024 crash involving his teammate Rashee Rice.
The criticism comes after the Chiefs star was seen wearing a "Free 4" T-shirt during pregame warmups to show support for Rice, who is currently serving a six-game suspension over the incident.
According to Marc Lenahan, it was wrong for Travis Kelce to take such a stance, especially since there is evidence that his teammate was speeding during the crash.
The Attorney Slammed The Kansas City Chiefs' Tight End For Wearing The Shirt

Recently, photos of Travis Kelce wearing a "Free 4" T-shirt in support of his teammate Rashee Rice went viral, sparking massive backlash against the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
Among those criticizing Kelce is attorney Marc Lenahan, who represents Kathryn Kuykendall, one of the victims of Rice's infamous 2024 crash that caused a pileup on a Texas highway.
In a rant to TMZ, Lenahan blasted Kelce along with teammate Tyquan Thornton, who also wore the shirt before the Chiefs' game against the Eagles on Sunday.
"I respect that Kelce and Thornton support their teammate, but the 'gym teacher' needs to talk with the history teacher," Lenahan said, making a cheeky reference to Kelce and singer Taylor Swift's recent engagement announcement.
He added, "Rashee isn't Nelson Mandela or Pepe Mujica, men who fought for what they believed in. There is evidence that Rashee was going 119 mph in a $1,749 per day Lambo rental that had pot and a pistol in it, on a highway on Easter weekend. Free Rashee?
The Lawyer Urged Travis Kelce To Loan Rashee Rice The Money To Pay His Victims
The internet is NOT very happy with Travis Kelce and the Chiefs this week, as several Chiefs players came out to warmups wearing “Free 4” shirts. 4, who is Rashee Rice, caused a multi-car wreck and severe injuries to victims while street racing in Dallas last year… Free him???? pic.twitter.com/WmwYitMdOO

Lenahan further noted that Rice has yet to pay the court-ordered restitution to Kuykendall, who reportedly sustained physical injuries in the crash.
"He already thinks he's getting away scot-free. He's not paid a single cent of the $1.1 million judgment he already owes our client, who is living anything but pain-free," the attorney said about Rice.
He added that if Kelce and Thornton truly wanted to support their teammate, they should do more than wear T-shirts, such as helping Rice compensate the victims of the crash.
"Talk & t-shirts are cheap," Lenahan stated fiercely. "If Kelce and Thornton truly believed in Rashee, they'd loan him the money to pay his victims. But since they won't do that, maybe they can at least be better role models by wearing a t-shirt with an important public service warning: 'Flee 4!'"
Netizens Slam Travis Kelce For Wearing The 'Free 4' Shirt

Kelce is also being called out by fans online for his "free 4" shirt, with several branding the move as "trashy" behavior.
One person on X said, "Travis Kelce and all his little friends wearing 'free 4' shirts are trashy and disgusting. Your teammate nearly killed his college friends and others on the road in a multicar accident and then fled on foot… and still owes a victim up to $1 million."
Another stated, "The Chiefs organization seems to have an issue about not having an issue with drinking and driving."
"Accountability seems to be a difficult concept for these players. Kelce is a washed-up activist," a third person commented.

Rice has since publicly apologized for his role in the ordeal, which he made after the judge's ruling.
He wrote, per TMZ, "Last March, I was involved in a high-speed accident in Dallas. There have been a lot of sleepless nights thinking about the damages that my actions caused, and I will continue working within my means to make sure that everyone impacted will be made whole."
