Dakota Johnson made waves earlier this month with her show-stopping fashion choice for this year's Kering Foundation's Caring for Women dinner. Hitting up the Peacock Theater in L.A., the 35-year-old left little to the imagination in a sheer dress, going embellished and skintight while flashing her underwear. Flaunting her fit figure on the red carpet and offering fans BTS action, Dakota exposed her backside in her cheeky bottoms in some moments, with her look garnering both praise and criticism. While some celebrated the Fifty Shades star's Gucci look, others trashed her for it. One user on X even suggested that Dakota should've just worn "a bikini" instead.

Going totally see-through while displaying her killer legs and taut abs, the ex to Coldplay musician Chris Martin rocked lace-embellished tulle fabrics working their way into a structured choker neck, plus strappy black heels.

Flashing her skimpy black bra and panties beneath her dress, Dakota kept her look chic and sexy, adding a bun hairdo, plus her signature bangs. The Hollywood star completed her glam with smoky dark eyeshadow and black eyeliner, showing off her blue eyes while wearing a lick of mascara. Meanwhile, her rosy blush lifted her foundation base as a dewy highlighter finish added twinkly accents.

When a fan posted footage of Dakota in her look, users rushed to comment.

"I don't understand this outfit," one replied. "Just wear a bikini then," another bluntly wrote. Pitting Dakota Johnson against other A-lister actresses, and clearly preferring her, a third fan said:

"As a gay man, I can say 1000% Dakota Johnson is the most interesting and attractive actress working today. The 2025 Kering dinner was also attended by stars including actresses Salma Hayek and Jessica Chastain, plus supermodel Linda Evangelista.

Dakota Johnson was savagely slammed for a way more revealing dress last year. In February 2024, she slipped her curves into a mesh-netted dress for the premiere of her Madame Web movie. Just about staying safe in her braless look, Dakota nearly exposed her nether regions while going commando, flaunting her sensational figure while raising eyebrows.

"Put more clothes on, plz," one of Dakota's Instagram followers wrote. Also unimpressed, another asked: "Ewww... what's up with these outfits lately?" The post did, however, gain over 1.2 million likes. Madame Web co-starred actress Sydney Sweeney.
