Bobby Bones really went above and beyond to clinch his "Dancing With The Stars" win.

The former television personality revealed his ultimate secret to clinching the win for the 27th season of the dance show, although that hack seemed very scandalous.

Bobby Bones coasted to "Dancing With The Stars" victory alongside his dance partner, Sharna Burgess, in 2018 with the viewers' overwhelming votes despite receiving the least amount of scores from the judges.

The dance show alum discussed that his emergence on the show came with a lot of learning, as he was a novice with no prior experience in dance or movement.

To give him an edge over his peers, who were much more skilled at dancing than he was, he devised a means that, although illegal, served him a great purpose. In his words:

"I cheated, in the way of, they give you a limited amount of time with your partner. Like, four hours a day, they say," Bones explained.

He added that he and Burgess will then complete their four hours, record the session as proof, andafter that, he will rent a studio and train on his own. "Like, illegally spent time over … because I was so far behind everybody else," the former reality star spilled to the host of the "Trading Secrets" podcast.

Despite his outrageous approach to improving his dancing, Bones' eventual win still came as a complete shock to him. The media personality reiterated that he was not a dancer before the show, so the win was definitely something he was not expecting.

Bones wrestled with three other finalists, Milo Manheim, Evanna Lynch, and Alexis Ren, for the mirrorball trophy. At the end of the day, these three were no match as he went home with the prize and the bragging rights of being the season 24 champion.

The radio personality explained his thought process about winning the show, in his words: "I wasn't in any way polarizing on the show, other than I sucked. I didn't run out and [say], like, 'I'm the best.' I tried as hard as I could, and I got sevens, a couple of sixes. A couple of eighths."

He noted that his surprising win had a negative impact on hardcore fans and watchers of the show, who were very unimpressed with his victory. The media figure revealed that climbing on that stage every week until the final moment left a nervous feeling in his stomach.

Bones even got a thumbs down from actress and dancer Julianne Hough, who slammed him last year for winning the show in 2014. Hough protested that Bones should not have won the show, as he was not even the best dancer in that lineup.

The New Season Of 'DWTS' Threatened By Lack Of Commitment From A Few Celebrities

The first show of every season and nearly every show until the curtains draw start on a very glamorous note; blinding lights, hearty cheers, and moves from outer space.

However, little is known about the drama backstage, which usually leaves organizers and producers in a state of disarray. The Blast reported that for this season, sources have shared that the Achilles heel is the character of the celebrity partners towards the professional dancers.

While they are typically designed to complement each other and evenly share the burden of entertaining the audience, one faction is feeling the weight more than the other.

An insider tagged the new season a "sh-t show" already, stressing that the producers have chosen a few stars who do not seem as committed as their colleagues who came on the show in the past.

Winning 'DWTS' May Be More Complicated Than People Think It Is

Bones rightfully admitted to winning the show due to overwhelming love and support from the viewers and not necessarily points earned from the show, and some more sources have given flesh to this claim.

Trends from at least a decade of the show suggest that possible winners emerge due to viral moments and a large fanbase that shifts the status quo to ferry their chosen team to victory.

Another factor at play is age, where people in similar age groups tend to associate more easily with contestants of a similar age and thus vote for them.

Whatever happens, the 34th season of "DWTS" boasts a formidable lineup of Hollywood's finest, including Robert Irwin, Jordan Chiles, Alix Earle, and Corey Feldman.

More famous faces like Jenn Affleck, Hilaria Baldwin, Dylan Efron, Danielle Fishel, and Fifth Harmony's Lauren Jauregui will all give their best moves when the show premieres September 16.

How The Cash Flows On 'Dancing With The Stars'

The celebrities who appear on the dancing show have reportedly smiled to the bank season after season after getting handsomely rewarded for their hardwork. As stated by E! Online, in 2019, sources shared that contestants make up to $125,000 for the show's rehearsal period and first two weeks.

They reportedly earn more as they progress on the show and could earn nearly $300,000. While no amount was disclosed for the pros, they also receive payment based on their duration on the show.

Professional dancers do not receive higher pay if they win the Len Goodman trophy, although they do receive goodies and rewards for reaching the finale. "If you win, it's not like you win a $1 million and split it with your partner. You're just getting a cute trophy together," a source stated.

For the troupe members, the earning margin is broad, as Lindsay Arnold once spilled in 2022 that her salary was slashed by half when she got demoted from pro to troupe member.

Looking forward to all the interesting episodes season 34 has in store.
