Diddy's former prosecutor, Maurene Comey, is rebelling against Donald Trump's administration for her perceived unfair job termination.
The federal prosecutor has dragged Trump's government to court for failing to follow due legal process in their decision to relieve her of her duties as an attorney officially.
Maurene Comey, as an attorney under Donald Trump's government, was involved in several high-profile cases, including Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Sean "Diddy" Combs.

The legal practitioner in a lawsuit filed in a federal court in Manhattan claimed her termination was too sudden and without any prior knowledge. Comey, who is the daughter of the former FBI director, James Comey, added that she was also targeted due to her connection with her dad.
The lawsuit described the termination as unconstitutional and unlawful, noting that she was fired because her father is former FBI Director James B. Comey, or because of her perceived political affiliation and beliefs, or both."
In the lawsuit, Comey noted that she was notified about her sack via email in July despite a sparkling record of positive performance, reviews, and promotions spanning over a decade.
Per CNN, the attorney has now added to the statistics of several federal civil servants fired by Trump, who have filed lawsuits to either request a reversal in their termination or seek damages.

Before her dismissal, the attorney stated in her lawsuit that she was approached to lead a major public corruption case. Comey joined the United States Attorney's Office in November 2015 and maintained a steady career progression through the ranks.
She led several units and was eventually asked to rejoin her colleagues and get things running in the courtroom. Before the termination of her employment, the attorney was on the prosecution team of Diddy, who is awaiting his sentencing scheduled for October 3, 2025.
Comey reportedly engaged in questioning of key witnesses, including Cassie, who was in a relationship with the rapper for more than a decade. The former federal prosecutor also prosecuted Robert Hadden for sexually abusing his patients alongside her Epstein and Maxwell cases.
Diddy Takes Another Shot At Freedom With A Wrong Definition Claim

The rapper has stayed behind bars for over three months now while awaiting sentencing, but his agitation for freedom has not stopped. Earlier in the month, his lawyers tendered a new legal document emphasizing that his conviction on the two-counts of prostitution had a loophole.
As reported by The Blast, the producer was found guilty of violating the Mann Act- a federal law passed in 1910 that seeks to bar the transportation of any woman or girls across state lines to engage in prostitution or other immoral acts.
According to his lawyers, the court seemingly used the wrong definition of prostitution in his criminal case instead of sticking with the original meaning when the act was passed over a century ago.
The attorney stressed that in 1910, a prostitute was defined as a woman who had sex outside marriage, and not the prosecution's definition of prostitution as sex for hire. On this basis, Diddy's attorney pushed for a retrial or complete acquittal of their client by Judge Arun Subramanian.

Diddy's Attorney Tried Wooing Donald Trump For Clemency

Attorney Mark Geragos shared on a podcast back in August that if Trump were generous enough to grant Diddy a pardon, the possibilities of a bromance between them would be endless.
According to him, as The Blast shared, Diddy and Trump have shared a similar fate, being tried by federal prosecutors, and also their subtle dislike for the torment experienced with these prosecutors.
Geragos added that the friendship would also mean Trump gaining Diddy's support in his political endeavors, as the rapper may become a full-blown MAGA supporter.
Unfortunately, things may be looking bleak for Geragos and Diddy in the department, especially after Trump reportedly changed his mind on granting Diddy a pardon.
The politician allegedly recalled several events from his first run for office, during which Diddy became a stranger and even made a few unfriendly comments about his administration.
Diddy had previously stated in interviews that men like Trump must be banished, adding that his way of thinking was dangerous, among many other harsh comments.
