Prince Harry is putting family front and center, revealing that his priority over the next year is his father, King Charles.
This comes after the pair recently reunited for their first in-person meeting in over a year, which insiders describe as an emotional meeting that could finally open the door to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet reconnecting with their grandfather.
Prince Harry's effort marks a shift in their strained dynamic, following years of distance and tension within the royal family.
Prince Harry Says His Priority Is King Charles After Emotional Reunion

The father-son duo recently reunited during Harry's visit to the U.K., marking their first private time together since February 2024, when he rushed home after learning his father was battling cancer.
In a conversation with The Guardian while on his travels to Ukraine, Harry hinted that he does not want their reunion to be a one-time moment. He stressed that "the focus really has to be on my dad" over the next year and noted his hope to spend more time in Britain and eventually bring his children to visit.
PEOPLE highlighted Harry's words as another sign of his willingness to close the distance, saying his U.K. trip "has definitely brought that closer." On September 10, Harry was seen arriving at Clarence House at 5:20 p.m. and leaving less than an hour later.
The Duke Of Sussex Hints At A Fresh Start

Harry's actions prove that he genuinely wants to reconcile. The Blast reports that the father-of-two is eager to amend his relationship with both the royal family and the British public.
According to insiders, "It's become clear that Harry now regrets some of his actions. He wants to reset his relationship with his family and with the people of the U.K."
While he may never fully move back to the U.K., his recent meeting with King Charles is being seen as the first step toward repairing strained bonds.
Sources say the King is especially hopeful for more time with Archie and Lilibet, noting how much he valued their brief reunion during late Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee.
If progress continues, Harry could return to Britain with his children next year, though it is unclear whether Meghan Markle will be part of that trip.

While reconciliation looks like it's going well, Harry's hopes of bringing his wife and their children back to the U.K. face a significant roadblock: the ongoing fight over security.
The 41-year-old has long pushed back against the Home Office's decision to cut his publicly funded police protection, a ruling upheld by judge Sir Geoffrey Vos.
Speaking to the BBC, Harry admitted he cannot "see a world" where he would bring his family to Britain without guaranteed armed security, calling it "the only thing that's left."
Although the issue has dragged on for a while, some believe there could be a workaround, possibly arranging visits to royal estates like Balmoral or Sandringham, where security is already in place.
Harry Gives Assurances About Private Meeting With King Charles

Despite curiosity about what took place in their meeting, The Blast shared that Harry assured his father there would be no media leaks, instructing his team not to brief reporters or give interviews about the conversation.
Their reunion ended positively, with Harry later telling guests at an Invictus Games reception that the 76-year-old was "great." Meanwhile, Harry's older brother, Prince William, was reportedly aware of the meeting but did not attend, with sources hinting he may not be thrilled about the private sit-down.
Still, insiders note, "You know, sooner or later most families reach some sort of accommodation after a family rift." While there is still a long way to go before full trust is restored, Harry's recent assurances suggest he is making an effort to repair his relationship with the royal family.
Prince Harry Donates $1.5 Million To Youth Programs In Nottingham

Apart from prioritising his father, Harry is also putting his money where his mouth is when it comes to supporting young people in the U.K.
The Blast reported that during a visit to Nottingham, Harry announced a $1.5 million personal donation to help tackle youth violence and expand mentorship opportunities in the city.
Speaking at the Community Recording Studio, he explained that part of the funds were invested through BBC Children in Need last December, with a focus on creating safer, stronger communities.
He reflected on his 15 years of working with communities to address issues like knife crime, calling it one of the U.K.'s biggest challenges. Harry stressed that Nottingham is close to his heart, saying he would "continue to stand" with the city.
