Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson continues to shine as she earned Western Conference Player of the Week honors, named the Associated Press Player of the Year, and revealed a new LEGO figure (all in the past 24 hours)!
Brick by brick, she's building an incredible legacy. And with the Aces getting ready to hit the court for the first round of the playoff season this weekend, it's only going to continue to grow.
A'ja Wilson Named AP Player Of The Year

A'ja Wilson is on fire, PERIODT!
After another historic season, she has earned the AP Player of the Year award for the second year in a row.
"She's put in the work and she passes all the test - the math tests, the optics tests - she's the most exciting player in the W," Aces coach Becky Hammon told The Associated Press. "And here's the thing, she's also the most exciting player on the defensive end. She will do something once a game defensively that's going to get you out of your seat. She's the only player in this league that I've seen that has defensive highlights on a consistent basis."
She was also honored as the AP Defensive Player of the Year for the third time in four seasons. Wilson told the AP, "Considering coach (Dawn) Staley was so hard on me about my defense in college, I'm glad I can have some success at the pro level multiple times."
A'ja Wilson Was Also Named Western Conference Player Of The Week

On Friday, the WNBA announced that Wilson was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from Sept. 1 to 11. This marks her 28th career Western Conference Player of the Week honor, and league-leading sixth this season, earning the honor Aug. 26, 19, 12, June 1, and July 1.
Wilson, who entered the week tied with Candace Parker at 27, now stands alone as the second-most Player of the Week honors in league history. Tina Charles currently leads the all-time list with 33.
The overall WNBA record for the most weekly awards in a single season is seven, achieved three times in the Eastern Conference, and six in the Western Conference.
A'ja Wilson Scores WNBA Peak Performer Award

And another one...
Wilson also earned the 2025 WNBA Peak Performer Award as the league's top scorer, leading with 23.4 points per game. She shot 50.5% from the field, averaging 8.3 made field goals and 6.2 free throws per contest.
This is the second straight year Wilson finished the season as the league's scoring leader. In 2024, she averaged 26.9 points per game.
Wilson also scored the most total points (937), posted the most 35-point games (3), 30-point games (13) and 20-point games (25) in the league this season. But wait, there's more! She had 21 double-doubles and the league's first and only 30/20 double-double game.

On Saturday morning, Wilson, Nike, and LEGO announced an exciting collab on Instagram.
"There’s only one @aja22wilson. Well, Kind of. Introducing the tiniest host of the biggest mini sports show - Clicked In. All about sport and style with takes from the real one herself. Coming soon," the video is captioned.
It didn't take long for fans to drop into the comment section to share their excitement about the new A'ja Wilson LEGO that's soon to be released.
"I’ll take 20 of whatever this is!" one fan wrote. Another added, "My favorite player and favorite thing to do in one." One other viewer said, "I’ve never wanted a LEGO in my life but I AM READY."
Another fan shared, "Anything @aja22wilson touches is top tier. Periodt. She has changed the basketball game AND the marketing game. Your marketing has to be this good for an athlete of her caliber. So dope."
