Vivian Jenna Wilson, Elon Musk's transgender daughter, made her New York Fashion Week debut for Alexis Bittar in a symbolic red gown highlighting trans rights.

Already active on stage through drag shows and campaigns with queer-owned brands, the 21-year-old has also spoken openly about coming out in 2020.

Despite her father's $415 billion fortune, Vivian Jenna Wilson lives modestly with roommates in Los Angeles and rejects wealth as a goal.

Vivian Wilson Steals The Spotlight At NYFW Debut

Musk's daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, stepped into the spotlight at New York Fashion Week with her runway debut for Alexis Bittar.

She glided down the catwalk in a dazzling red gown, complete with ruffled short sleeves, a sparkling finish, and a pageant-style sash reading Miss South Carolina.

The look, part of the brand's Spring/Summer 2026 collection, was paired with gold statement earrings and a sleek clutch.

Vivian carried herself with poise, fully embracing the show's bold theme: "MISS USA 1991."

The NYFW Moment Was Significant For The Budding Trans Model

According to the NYC-based label, the collection explores issues of "misogyny, unchecked predators, objectification, and trans rights."

For the 21-year-old, who has been publicly estranged from her billionaire father over her transition, the New York Fashion Week moment was especially symbolic.

Speaking backstage to Nylon, Vivian explained that the sashes represented states actively rolling back transgender rights.

South Carolina, for instance, passed a law in 2024 restricting gender-affirming care for minors, with compliance required by early 2025

Although Vivian just made her New York Fashion Week debut, she's already had plenty of stage presence under her belt.

In June, she dazzled at a drag show in Los Angeles in a sleek, form-fitting bodysuit, and earlier this year, she turned heads at a "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" party in New York, strutting with the confidence of a seasoned runway veteran.

Her modeling career officially kicked off in May with a campaign for Wildfang, a queer-owned fashion brand.

That same month, Page Six spotlighted her standout appearance at the "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" Season 10 premiere, where she delivered a high-energy voguing performance, complete with hair flips and dance moves that had the crowd roaring.

But while her public profile has been rising, Vivian has also faced personal battles. Speaking to Teen Vogue,  she opened up about her decision to come out as transgender in 2020.

"It was 11 p.m., and I was like, 'I know for a fact I am trans," she recalled. "I had known for a few months at that point, and I was like, 'I cannot f-cking do this anymore."

Vivian, who has long been estranged from Musk and often challenges his public views, recently revealed that she sees little of his reported $415 billion fortune despite being his eldest child, and she's perfectly fine with that.

"I don't have that inheritance," she told The Cut. "People assume I have a lot of money. I don't have hundreds of thousands of dollars at my disposal."

According to Vivian, the biggest misconception about her is wealth. While her mother is "rich" and her father "unimaginably wealthy," she lives a very different reality.

Currently, she shares an apartment with three roommates in Los Angeles, simply because it's more affordable.

"I don't have a desire to be superrich," she explained. "I can afford food. I have friends, a shelter, and some expendable income, which is nice and much more fortunate than most people my age in Los Angeles."

Meanwhile, this isn't the first time Vivian has publicly distanced herself from her father.

She has previously described the Tesla CEO, who is father to 13 other children, as "uncaring and narcissistic," while also criticizing him for pushing traditional family ideals she believes he doesn't live by.

Last August, she called him out directly in a Threads post after he praised his younger sons.

"It seems to me like you're trying to rebuild your brand image as the 'caring paternal father,' which I will not let go unchallenged," she wrote, per The Blast. "If I'm going to be honest, this is absolutely pathetic."

Vivian went on to question what she viewed as his attempt at a rebrand. "I understand your new angle is this 'western values/Christian [sic] family man' thing, but it's such a weird choice," she continued. "You are not a family man, you are a serial adulterer who won't stop f-cking lying about your own children. You are not a Christian [sic], as far as I'm aware, you've never set foot in a church."
