Charlie Sheen's Netflix Docuseries Moves Estranged Daughter To Tears

Thanks to his emotional documentary, there's hope for a reconciliation between Charlie Sheen and his estranged daughter, Sami Sheen. 

The Hollywood veteran teamed up with Netflix to release the docuseries "aka Charlie Sheen," a project chronicling his past as one of the most infamous party boys in the entertainment industry.

The brutally honest work dived into Charlie Sheen's addiction struggles and his journey to sobriety, touching the once-cold heart of his daughter, Sami Sheen. The media personality shared her reaction to her father's documentary, sparking pleas for a reunion.

Sami dropped her reaction to the tear-jerking documentary on TikTok, sharing a video of herself on the verge of tears. While filming herself in bed, she appeared misty-eyed, staying silent and letting her sullen vibes do the talking.

"I didn't know I was the reason he got sober," Sami wrote in the video's overlay text. In the post's caption, she implored fans to give her father's documentary a chance, noting, "honestly a 10/10 documentary."

Her emotional response to the documentary sparked over a thousand comments from fans. Some hoped she could reconcile with Charlie, with a TikToker advising Sami to "Let go of the Dad you wish you had and slowly accept the Dad you do have."

The pleas for Sami to reunite with Charlie continued, with someone noting, "Make peace. Life is too short." Another agreed, stressing that she should call her dad before it was too late. "Forgive your Dad. It will set you free," someone added.

On the other hand, some fans argued that Sami should not be swayed by Charlie's documentary. "If he didn't reach out... it wasn't for you," a fan claimed. A critic echoed similar sentiments, judging the situation based on their own experience with a father who struggled with addiction.

"Be wary of those who say it was for someone else. The reason to get sober is for yourself," the TikToker advised Sami. The narrative continued, with someone arguing that people should not push Sami to reconcile with Charlie. The fan noted her mental health was important, and she should do what was best for her.

Sami's somber tune came five months after she criticized Charlie on TikTok. Page Six covered the story, reporting that she filmed her reaction to a resurfaced 2011 interview about her father's addiction.

When asked if there were drugs in his home, Charlie replied, "If there are, you better find them and give them to me immediately." Sami implied his response summed up the reason behind their estrangement, writing, "When people wonder why I haven't spoken to my dad in a year, but this is my dad."

Besides his addiction struggles, Sami and Charlie fell out over her decision to join the explicit content platform, OnlyFans. The Blast shared the "Two and a Half Men" star's reaction to the news, noting he disapproved of his daughter's career choice, given its notoriety.

Charlie opened up about his eight-year sobriety journey in a recent interview, revealing he became celibate during the process. The Blast shared that he claimed he stopped dating or paying for sex after beating his addictions.

The TV personality noted his abstinence was a significant achievement, as sex used to be all he cared about during his dark past. Charlie confessed he lost his virginity to a sex worker in Las Vegas at 15, adding that celibacy helped him take a well-needed break from his desires.

"That's not me slamming the door on anything in the future. No, I would absolutely welcome some type of companionship," Charlie added. He noted he was open to relationships since his HIV is well-managed, a condition he publicized in 2015.
