Chris Brown is reportedly under criminal investigation after a woman claimed the singer “smacked the back of her head” while inside of his home.
According to multiple reports, police responded to the singer’s San Fernando Valley home over the weekend, where they interviewed a woman who claims the singer slapped her. At the time, the female said the strike was violent enough that a part of her “weave” came out of her head.
At this point, it’s unclear if the woman is the one who called the police to report the alleged crime, or if they were just checking on the house, as they have done several times in the past. Just several months ago, LAPD broke up a party at the singer’s residence which appeared to be a birthday party for him.
Chris Brown Under Investigation For Battery
Upon arrival, LAPD took a battery report and Chris is named on the report as a “suspect.” To be clear, the woman told police that Chris slapped her in the back of the head, which dislodged the weave from her hair. Apparently, there were no visible injuries besides the hair, and no arrests have been made.
Normally, a detective will be assigned to the case, or an officer will do a follow-up investigation and interviews with the parties and any possible witnesses. “The victim advised that she and the suspect argued, and the suspect struck her,” a spokesperson for LAPD said. Adding, “The suspect was not at the location when the police arrived.” So far, Chris Brown has not commented on the case.
At this point, the case will be investigated and eventually turned over to the Los Angeles City Attorney for possible criminal charges.
Not The First Time…
Of course, either way, this is a bad look for the famous singer who was involved in one of the most violent and infamous domestic violence situations in Hollywood while dating his then-girlfriend Rihanna. As you know, Chris was arrested after allegedly punching and assaulting the singer inside of his vehicle after the couple left a pre-grammy party. At the time, a picture leaked out of the injuries which were quite severe. Chris was sentenced to five years of formal probation and had several other issues with the law while he was on probation.
Plus, Chris Brown’s San Fernando Valley home has been the subject of several police incidents, including one where the singer refused to come out of the residence following another similar incident.
In 2017, Brown’s ex-girlfriend and model Karrueche Tran received a five-year restraining order from the singer after accusing him of multiple incidents of abuse.
