He was shot "20 minutes into his presentation," with a viral video capturing the horrific incident and the mass panic that followed. Reports claimed a suspect had been taken into custody, while FBI Director Kash Patel noted "the FBI stands in full support of the ongoing response and investigation."

Kirk's passing sparked a wave of tributes from fans, celebrities, and politicians, who celebrated his achievements while condemning the violent shooting. Page Six reported that former race driver Danica Patrick addressed the incident on her Instagram Stories.
Patrick claimed there was "an epidemic of mental illness," wondering why someone would shoot Kirk. WWE star Jake Paul echoed similar sentiments in a tweet, lamenting "what a mentally sick time we are living through."
Renowned author Stephen King noted the shooting was "another example of American gun violence." President Donald Trump addressed the incident on his Truth Social platform, dropping a poignant post about losing "The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk."
A Feminist Site Reportedly Paid Witches To Curse Charlie Kirk

Following Kirk's death, a feminist website began trending for an article it published two days before the shooting. The Blast covered the story, reporting that Jezebel had published an article about paying Etsy witches to place a curse on the political commentator.
The hex chosen was not meant to harm Kirk or influence his death; instead, the author of the article hoped he would suffer minor inconveniences like waking up with pimples. "Now, is it ethical to curse a man I've never met? Probably not. But is it unethical to let him keep talking? Yes," the author argued.
Although the article captured the author's distaste for Kirk's controversial comments about feminists and the responsibilities of women, Jezebel condemned the tragic nature of his death. The site stressed that they do not "endorse, encourage, or excuse political violence of any kind."
