Breeze Basketball Club and Hive Basketball Club will make their Unrivaled debuts when the new season begins in January 2026. The addition of the two new clubs adds 12 roster spots, and with a development player pool of six additional players, that brings the total number of players in the league to 53 for the second season.

Unrivaled Is Also Adding A Fourth Night Of Games Each Week

But wait...there's more!
Not only will the league be adding two new teams and 18 new players, they are also planning to add a fourth night of games each week throughout the season to accommodate the new clubs. Each Unrivaled club plays two games per week, and the new schedule will eliminate back-to-back games for players.
"Expanding a year earlier than planned is a testament to the strong business model we’ve built and the potential Unrivaled has for long-term success,” said Luke Cooper, Unrivaled President of Basketball, according to a press release sent to The Blast. “We outperformed every goal we set for the league in year one, and with the incredible talent we have returning paired with the influx of new stars, it was a no brainer to add two more clubs this season.”
The league is committed to advancing the growth of the younger stars with its newly established development pool of players, with these players practicing daily and training with a dedicated performance staff. They will have the same resources and amenities as rostered players all season long.
The players in the development pool will continue to work on their skills and be ready to step in as a relief player in clubs if a player becomes unavailable due to injury.
