Sheen opened up about his sobriety and celibacy journey in a new interview, revealing he stopped dating or paying for sex after beating his addictions. Staying eight years without intimacy or substances is a massive achievement for the actor, who lost his virginity to a Vegas sex worker at 15.

"Oh my gosh, for so long [sex] was all I cared about, or it was near the top of the priority list. And so I just saw [celibacy] as a needed break from those pursuits," Sheen told PageSix. He noted he still had hope for love since his HIV is well-managed, adding:

"That's not me slamming the door on anything in the future. No, I would absolutely welcome some type of companionship."

During Sheen's notoriety, he dated Natalie Kenly and porn star Bree Olson simultaneously. He partly blamed his past controversial behavior on his relationship with the two women, claiming he had been using too much testosterone cream to boost his libido.

Sheen detailed their relationship and other sexual escapades in his book and documentary, noting his life revolved around threesomes, prostitutes, nights at the Playboy mansion, and flings with men while intoxicated.

He confessed in the interview that his infamous lifestyle was one of the reasons he disapproved of his daughter Sami's OnlyFans career. Sheen confessed they hadn't spoken for a year, adding that the situation seemed to be the universe's cruel punishment for his past debauchery.

Days earlier, The Blast reported that Sheen had addressed his past sexual encounters with men in an interview. He claimed his interest in the same sex began after dabbling in crack, and he would sleep with men while high.

However, Sheen struggled with understanding this new side of himself whenever he wasn't using drugs. He confessed that it was challenging coming to terms with it, but he eventually accepted that he was attracted to both men and women.

Sheen described some of his sexual encounters as "weird," while others were "f-cking fun." Unfortunately, his notorious lifestyle of sex and drugs became his undoing years later when he tested positive for HIV. He publicized his diagnosis in 2015, claiming he had not passed it on to his partners.

While promoting his memoir and documentary, Sheen recalled the moment he experienced the "biggest betrayal" of his life. The Blast covered the story, reporting that he revealed his family had staged an intervention in 1990 to stop his addictions.

However, their efforts weren't enough as Sheen overdosed on injected cocaine and suffered a stroke eight years later. The incident broke his father's heart, and he practically signed Sheen's arrest warrant by reporting him to authorities for probation violation.

Sheen had been on probation for allegedly hitting his then-lover, Brittany Ashland. He was dragged back to court over his father's report but escaped jail time with a mandatory rehab order. "It felt like the biggest betrayal you could possibly endure," he said about his father's actions.
