Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, love to maintain aesthetics as they recently opened up about their unusual bathroom design and their even more bizarre toilet paper choice.
It comes after the couple clashed on air about "just because day," with Kelly arguing that it's not an appropriate thing to say, especially to children.
Despite their small arguments, Mark Consuelos believes he "chose" the "right" partner in Kelly Ripa ahead of their 30th wedding anniversary next year.
Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos Share Their Strange Toilet Design

Ripa and Consuelos recently gave a peek into one of the bathrooms in their multi-million dollar mansion, and it doesn't get as unusual as this.
In an interview with People Magazine on the set of their daytime talk show, "Live with Kelly and Mark," last week, the couple revealed that they have a black bathroom stuffed with black tissue paper to match.
"Somebody — as a gift, as a joke — said that you need black toilet paper in this black bathroom," Ripa said. "And you know what? It actually looks normal because the white toilet paper was the thing that looked really strange."
Her husband, however, disagreed, saying, "It doesn't feel normal." Ripa then said, "Nobody really uses that toilet," but Consuelos noted that he has.
"Well, there you go," she retorted, adding, "I have not used the black toilet tissue. I just like the way it looks. It blends into the wall."
The Couple Has A Cheeky Name For Their Dressing Rooms

Elsewhere in the live interview, the couple revealed the playful nicknames they made up for their individual dressing rooms.
According to the news outlet, Ripa said it was her husband's "idea" for them to name the space "Lucy and Desi" as inspired by Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.
"Lucy and Desi," Consuelos reveals. "Desi is the guy's bathroom; Lucy is the girls."
His wife added, "There's like a Lucy and a Desi, and he likes that. So that's what he named our dressing rooms. It's kind of cool."
Ripa and Consuelos, who tied the knot in May 1996 and share three children together, have been a staple fixture on their daytime talk show since the "Riverdale" actor joined in April 2023.
Prior to that, she hosted it with Ryan Seacrest for 6 seasons beginning in 2017.
Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos Don't plan To Leave Their House

The power couple gave fans a look at their chic New York City townhouse during a video tour with Architectural Digest last year.
In the clip, the "All My Children" actress revealed that their family had lived in the location for more than 12 years and is their "favorite place on earth."
"We've moved several times in our lives, but no matter where we go, for me, this is my forever home," Ripa said as she flaunted their cozy bedroom, per People Magazine.
"When I walked in here, I was like, 'This is the final place where I will live.' I love this house so much," she added.
Commenting on the large mirror on the wall opposite their bed, Consuelos said, "And don't think we're crazy about putting a mirror in front of our bed. It hides a TV."
"Ripa then joked, 'Yeah, we don't stare at ourselves. We watch Judge Judy in here.'"
It was then that she revealed that they don't plan to ever relocate from the property.
"I don't want to sound morbid," she said, "but they'll have to carry me out of here feetfirst because I have gotten good and comfortable in this house."

Their long-standing marriage has been an enviable feat for a power couple in Hollywood.
Back in July, at the premiere of their ESPN docuseries "Running with the Wolves," Consuelos opened up about their plan for the future ahead of their 30th wedding anniversary next year.
"I've been planning with this lady here since the day I met her, and that's part of the beauty, I think, of our relationship, is always making plans for what comes next," he said. "Some are really exciting, some are a little scary, but that's [life]."
"I think you have to choose somebody that you can dream with and I surely chose right," he added.
Nevertheless, they sometimes clash over family matters, as witnessed on a pre-taped segment for the show last week.
Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos Argue On Air

During their show, Consuelos proposed that they participate in a "Just Because Day," which aims to celebrate doing things "just because."
Things then got a little awkward when Ripa said she was "taking the day off – just because," before weighing in on the effects of telling children no to something, "just because," per The Blast.
"When you say 'because I said so' or 'just because' [to a child], it literally sends kids' brains into a short circuit and it makes them feel unempowered," she explained.
"They should. They're kids," her husband shot back, dragging her into an awkward back-and-forth.
Consuelos, however, agreed with his wife, noting that he would prefer for things to be properly explained to him instead of being told, "just because."
