Bure posted a bikini photo of herself to her Instagram earlier this week before quickly removing it from her feed.

Later, during an Instagram Q&A, Bure addressed a fan who asked why she took the post down.

According to Bure, she was wearing a "one-piece" swimsuit while "soaking up the end of summer."

Bure explained that she was enjoying herself and that the picture was not about her body or her attire.

However, "the comments became flooded with people discussing my body."

Bure ultimately decided that leaving the post up would have caused more harm than good.

"It wasn't worth it," she said. "I took it down."

Bure Has Opened Up About Her Body Before

Bure's decision is not surprising to those who follow her, as the Netflix star has been incredibly open about her struggle with an eating disorder and body image on her podcast.

"It was binging and purging, like, I'm a bulimic. I still say I'm a bulimic because the thoughts, whether I'm doing that or not, never leave me. I still need the tools to say, 'No, Candace, we're not doing that,'" Bure said, according to a previous report from The Blast.

"I feel like a broken record. I'm 49 years old, and I'm, like, 'Why do I think about this so much? Why does it even matter so much? It's so ridiculous,'" she added. "And yet, I'm still thinking about it [and] we're here talking about it."

Bure is grateful that the conversation around eating disorders is becoming more accepted; however, she shared that it's a discussion she wishes people didn't need to have.

Throughout the episode, Bure went on to say that she's still learning as much as she can about eating disorders and body image. Although she's discovered amazing tools that have helped her, Bure believes there's "nothing that has really changed my heart and soul on it."

"I still constantly think about it," she said. "It's really vulnerable, but so many of us feel the same feelings."

Bure then got extremely personal about being placed on a diet at a young age, much like her mother and sister.

"It wasn't like, 'Oh, you have to lose weight.' It's just, 'We're gonna do this as preventative. We want to teach you how to be healthy and exercise,'" she said, later sharing that dieting "shaped the viewpoint I had about myself."

Bure also said that growing up on television impacted her relationship with food. "My parents never wanted a producer to come up to me and say, 'We need your child to lose weight,'" she said.

And this isn't the first time Bure has spoken out about her diet and the foods she consumes. Page Six reported on Bure's previous admission about not having fast food for more than two decades.

“I haven’t eaten fast food except for In-N-Out in 20 years,” she wrote online. “Some days I wonder what a burger and fries is like from McDonald's or Burger King or Wendy’s or any of those other places I’ve never eaten at.”

Bure also admitted to never having had "Taco Bell or anything similar," adding, "I don't regret it. You can't convince me otherwise."

Shortly after her admission, however, a social media user blasted the actress for allegedly lying, sharing a picture of her in a Chick-Fil-A drive-thru. "We love chikin!" she posted the now-deleted photo.

Bure's representative clapped back at the claims, however, insisting she was only buying food for her children.

“Candace took her son to eat at the restaurant. Candace does not eat fast food and only ordered an iced tea, which she is holding in the photo," her rep shared.
