As Selena Gomezprepares for her dream wedding to Benny Blanco, explosive claims tying her to her mother Mandy Teefey's alleged drug use threaten to overshadow the celebration.
Teefey, who co-founded the Wondermind organization with Gomez and Daniella Pierson, now faces accusations of dealing with substances in the office under her daughter's watch.
The brand, launched in 2022, is a multimedia platform designed to offer mental health support.
Insider Claims Selena Gomez Was Aware Of Her Mom’s Alleged Drug Use

In a September 3 exposé, anonymous employees from Teefey's company claimed she was often seen intoxicated while in the workplace.
One staff member recalled seeing the 49-year-old businesswoman snorting what appeared to be “a line of Ritalin.” Others confessed to witnessing “a rotation of nurses” regularly dropping by to administer vitamin IV drips to Teefey, which reportedly dispensed liquid Benadryl.
According to eyewitnesses, Teefey, during that period, told people in the room that she needed the injections to "deal with allergies and the aftermath of severe COVID and double pneumonia." Additionally, the team’s members “say that after the injections, Teefey spoke slowly and seemed drowsy.”
While Teefey carried on with her use, a former employee asserted that Selena was aware of her mother’s issues. "I will say this with the utmost certainty — no doubt, hesitation in my mind," the individual said. "Selena knew her mother was not well enough to be running that company."

Addressing accusations of Ritalin consumption in the office, Teefey told US Weekly the claims were nothing more than rumors spread by displeased staff, insisting it "absolutely" never happened.
"I started Wondermind because I wanted to help people with mental illness," the wellness enthusiast shared. "It's unfortunate that a few disgruntled employees with an ax to grind can spread lies about me and distort the truth. Even more disappointing that the media is willing to amplify their lies."
At the time of founding the company, Teefey pointed out in a statement that the goal was to create a space that would become a place where individuals can find everything to aid their mental well-being.
In May, Wondermind laid off 60 percent of its staff due to financial struggles, according to Forbes.
Selena Gomez Left to Shoulder Wedding Plans, With Little Help from Fiancé

The revelations about Teefey's reported substance abuse come at a delicate time for Gomez, who is buried in wedding preparations and receiving little help from her fiancé.
As The Blast reported earlier, an insider disclosed that Blanco is content taking the backseat in the setup, telling Gomez he sees it as "her wedding first and their wedding second."
However, while it may seem like a “nice gesture” to let the “Revival” singer take the lead, friends say Blanco's laidback approach has sparked tension, with Gomez feeling he should "step up and make some decisions."
Adding to the strain, the couple is known to procrastinate, though sources say Blanco, in particular, has a reputation among friends for being "a bit lazy."
Selena Gomez Furious Over Leaked Nuptial Arrangements

Meanwhile, the intimate union the couple hoped for may no longer be possible.
Back in July, details of their secret arrangements surfaced, with insiders exposing the date, guest list, and Montecito venue, and according to The Blast, the disclosure left the “Barney & Friends” star furious.
"Selena and Benny are fuming that their wedding plans got out," an informant shared, noting that while the pair were angry, they refused to alter the details to avoid delays.
However, they intend to ramp up security at the location to keep their A-list guests safe. Moreso, the 33-year-old actress is considering a no-phones policy.
The ‘Only Murders In The Building’ Star Shared Her Ideal Wedding Dessert

While Gomez has kept most of her wedding plans under wraps, she did open up about one sweet detail, and that’s dessert.
As The Blast detailed, the Rare Beauty founder revealed she won't be serving a traditional towering cake, instead opting for something a little unconventional.
"My preferred dessert would be biscuits and gravy," Selena admitted, noting that her Nana's homemade version is her preferred choice for her big day. "That sounds like dessert to me."
For the cake, she said, "Whenever that day comes, I do know I don't want a big cake. I'd want a mini one, just for us, that we can freeze."
