Perez Hilton Calls Out Blake Lively Subpoena Discrepancy, 'Why Was Billy Bush Not Subpoenaed?'

Perez Hilton isn’t holding back when it comes to Blake Lively’s legal war with Justin Baldoni. The celebrity blogger has once again found himself in the middle of the Hollywood courtroom circus, but this time he’s firing back with his own questions. As the legal fight over subpoenas heats up, Perez Hilton is demanding to know why he’s been dragged into the mess while other big names have been left untouched.
Perez Hilton Slams Blake Lively’s Legal Team Over Selective Targeting

Speaking outside the courthouse this week, Hilton pointed directly to what he views as selective targeting by Lively’s legal team. “They also listed Billy Bush. Why was Billy Bush not subpoenaed, but I was?” he asked. “Why would I be subpoenaed when in January of this year Melissa Nathan and the Wayfarer employees were already talking about, how do we get a hold of Perez? I’ve already argued all of that to this judge, and he’s not even beginning to get into the minutia of it all.”
Hilton has argued that the effort to force him to turn over communications is “retaliatory” and said he believes it’s about intimidation, not justice. “I truly believe there are two justices in this world,” he said. “One for regular folks, and then there’s a justice system for the wealthy.”
Lively’s Team Claims Hilton Helped Push Smear Campaign For Baldoni

Hilton became entangled in the legal saga after Lively’s team subpoenaed him in connection with her $250 million lawsuit against Baldoni. The actress alleges Hilton acted as one of several “Content Creators” used to push damaging narratives about her online, benefiting Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios. Hilton has denied the accusations, insisting that his coverage was based on his personal opinions and protected under Nevada’s journalist shield laws.
Blake Lively Accuses Baldoni Of Harassment As $250M Case Marches To Trial

The broader case has become one of Hollywood’s most explosive legal dramas. Lively filed suit in December 2024, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation tied to their work on "It Ends with Us." She claims Baldoni attempted to damage her reputation as their professional and personal relationship unraveled.
Baldoni denied the allegations and fired back with a $400 million countersuit, accusing Lively of trying to wrest creative control of the film from him. That countersuit was dismissed earlier this year, but Lively’s $250 million claim remains active and is set to go to trial in March 2026.
As The Blast previously reported, Baldoni’s legal team is expected to focus heavily on behind-the-scenes footage from the "It Ends with Us" set. They claim the clips show Lively joking around and even flirting with Baldoni during filming, behavior they argue could weaken her harassment allegations by contradicting her claims of feeling uncomfortable on set.
Other Women On Set Raised Concerns

Lively’s lawsuit doesn’t rely solely on her own experiences, as it also cites accounts from other women involved in the production of "It Ends with Us." As The Blast previously reported, one female cast member came forward in May 2023 to report what she described as inappropriate and unwelcome behavior from Baldoni. Although she allegedly voiced her concerns reluctantly, she felt his conduct was creating problems for the production.
The documents state that Baldoni acknowledged the complaint in writing and promised to make adjustments, though Lively argues the environment on set failed to improve. The filing also claims that another cast member later confided in Lively directly, saying she, too, felt uncomfortable around the actor-director.
Perez Hilton Claims Tuesday’s Ruling Hurt Blake Lively
While Hilton says he never wanted to be part of the courtroom circus, he framed this week’s developments as a minor victory. He pointed to the judge’s cool response to Lively’s legal team, saying her attorney left “dejected” after failing to secure the outcome they wanted.
“I know that today’s outcome has hurt Blake Lively,” Hilton told reporters. “And it’s a win for journalists, and it’s a win for me.”
Still, Hilton admitted he’s “tired” of the process, but says he’ll continue pushing back. “I want to be done with this,” he said, “but I’m willing to keep fighting and keep the process going because it’s the right thing to do for journalists, and to not be intimidated by this woman and her husband using their money to get things they know they’re not entitled to.”
