Travis Kelce is finally breaking his silence about one of the most talked-about celebrity engagements of the year.
Just a week after he and Taylor Swift announced their big news in a joint Instagram post, the Kansas City Chiefs star opened up on his “New Heights” podcast with brother Jason Kelce.
From the moment he first called Swift his fiancée in public to how the past week has felt, Travis admitted that he’s still buzzing with excitement, and even confessed that he gets “giddy” every time he says it out loud.

On the Sept. 3 episode of “New Heights,” Jason wasted no time diving into the hot topic.
“Travis, we gotta talk about it,” he said, as fans waited for a response.
Travis tried to brush it off with a laugh, replying, “I don’t think we do.” However, Jason pressed on, saying, “In case you missed the Instagram post heard ’round the world, Travis and Taylor are engaged! Yay!”
Finally giving in, the football player thanked everyone for the outpouring of love.
“That’s right, that’s right. And I appreciate everybody that reached out and sent something and all the posts and all the excitement that’s been going on,” he said. “It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”
He added that the past week had been “exciting” and “awesome,” describing it as one of the happiest times of his life.
Travis Loves Calling Taylor Swift His Fiancée

Travis Kelce revealed that one of the sweetest moments came just days earlier at the Cincinnati Bearcats game, where he and Swift appeared together.
It was there, for the first time, that he introduced the pop superstar to his teammates as his fiancée.
“I felt that at the game, actually. It was my first time introducing Taylor as my fiancée to a few of my teammates. So yeah, it was pretty cool,” the NFL star shared.
Jason then teased his brother, asking if he ever got giddy saying it. Without missing a beat, Travis admitted, “Yeah, I do. I still get giddy, exciting times.”
Travis Kelce Shares His Advice For The Perfect Proposal

When it came to giving proposal advice, Travis kept it simple and heartfelt.
“Man, you’ve gotta know your gal. You’ve gotta know your gal or your significant other,” he said.
The 35-year-old also advised others not to compare their relationships to anyone else’s, stressing that every couple should move at their own pace.
Travis explained that what matters most is understanding your partner and staying true to your own reasons for being together.
“Know your partner, know who you’re doing it for and do it for the right reasons,” he said.
Travis’s Ex-Girlfriend Slammed For Post Following The Couple’s Engagement

Travis Kelce’s recent revelation comes shortly after his ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, came under fire after she shared a cryptic post.
As The Blast previously reported, the journalist took to her social media page with a post of her workout session, following Travis and Swift’s engagement announcement.
However, it was her caption that sparked outrage. “The goal? A back that says stop f-cking playing with me,” Nicole wrote.
In no time, the post garnered a ton of reactions from fans. Many noted that her comment was a response to the headline-breaking news.
Recall that earlier this year, Nicole suggested that Travis moving on with the singer was a compliment, comparing it to losing to a championship-winning team.
In past interviews, she also admitted that public comments about her relationship sometimes left her in tears.
Travis Kelce’s Ex Addresses The Criticisms

Following the barrage of criticism, Nicole chose to speak out, revealing that she felt “triggered” and “sensitive” by the backlash.
She opened up about cancel culture during a candid conversation with Heather Sanders on her “The Pre-Game” podcast, saying she doesn’t believe anyone truly has the power to “cancel” her.
The model explained that her faith keeps her grounded, insisting that God has a plan for her life and that critics “can’t change the trajectory” of it.
Still, she admitted that she struggles emotionally. “I’m sensitive. I am triggered. I want to clear my name. I want to address it,” she confessed.
Nicole revealed she often avoids responding to controversies, admitting she once “chickened out,” hoping issues would blow over.
However, when she does speak up, she said people tend to dismiss her as attention-seeking.
“That’s my fear. Instead of me talking about lived experience, people think it’s just me constantly trying to rehash bullsh-t,” she said, before adding with a laugh, “Sue me, sweetie. Jesus.”
