The Las Vegas Aces are dishing out more than just wins on the court this season. They're also giving back to the community with the "Steals for Meals" program presented by BetMGM.

With every steal the team makes during a regular season home game, a $50 donation is made to The Just One Project, a Las Vegas-based nonprofit dedicated to helping families in the community.

The Aces Are Turning Steals Into Help For The Local Community

The Aces are having an amazing season and their performance on the court is helping the local community. Each steal that the team makes at a regular season game at home benefits local nonprofit organization, The Just One Project.

"With 60 steals made at The House in August, BetMGM has now donated a total of $7,300 to The Just One Project so far this season," a recent Instagram post shared by the team reads. "Through this initiative, the funds collected will be used by The Just One Project to provide meals and supportive services to families in need in the Las Vegas area."

The Just One Project uses the donated funds to provide groceries, as well as vital resources like youth programs, housing assistance, and workforce development, to those in need.

The Aces often hold special clinics and camps, attend community events, and support programs on and off the court. They recently teamed up with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund to transform awareness into action in the fight against cancer. Their focus was on Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a particularly aggressive form of the disease that disproportionately affects Black women.

12 Consecutive Wins!

The Aces got their 12th consecutive win on Wednesday when they beat the Atlanta Dream 81-75.

"With their win over the Dream, the @lvaces 12-game streak ties the longest in franchise history since relocating to Las Vegas, matching the San Antonio Silver Stars’ 12-game streak!" an Instagram post shared by both the Aces and the WNBA reads.

This win moved the team into the second-place spot in league standings.

The Vegas franchise had a 12-game winning streak back in 2012, when they were still the San Antonio Silver Stars. They are looking to beat that record on Thursday night when they face the Minnesota Lynx in Vegas at T-Mobile Arena.

After a well-deserved break, the team returns to action against the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday, Sept. 4, followed by back-to-back matchups with the Chicago Sky on Sept. 7 and 9. All three games will take place at T-Mobile Arena, rather than the team's usual home court, Michelob ULTRA Arena.
