The "Big Little Lies" star blithely dismissed "The Carrie Diaries," the short-lived "Sex and the City" prequel, as a show that should have been “left alone,” without realizing she was saying it directly to one of its stars. Butler played Sebastian Kydd, the charming love interest of Carrie Bradshaw in the series, which ran from 2013 to 2014.

The cringeworthy exchange happened during the pair’s appearance in Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test video series while promoting their new Darren Aronofsky film. Butler cheekily asked Kravitz which "Sex and the City" spin-off was better, "And Just Like That..." or "The Carrie Diaries." Her blunt reply? “Neither. Leave that show alone. Everybody just stop.”

What seems like a simple favor quickly drags him and his girlfriend Yvonne (Kravitz) into the dangerous criminal underbelly of 1990s New York.
