Mommy blogger Emilie Kiser shared her grief after her 3-year-old son, Trigg, drowned in their Arizona pool while under the care of her husband, Brady.
The popular influencer admitted regret over not installing a safety fence, believing it could have saved Trigg's life. Police reports revealed Brady was distracted by an NBA game and gambling, leaving Trigg unsupervised for over nine minutes.
Surveillance footage also contradicted Brady's shifting accounts, and despite police recommending a felony child abuse charge, prosecutors declined to pursue criminal charges.
Mommy Blogger Emilie Kiser Reflects On Son's Tragic Drowning, Cites Pool Safety Regret

Mommy blogger and influencer Emilie Kiser has opened up about the devastating loss of her three-year-old son, Trigg, who drowned in the family's backyard pool in Chandler, Arizona, this past May.
In an emotional statement shared on social media Thursday, Emilie expressed deep regret over not installing a safety fence around the pool, a decision she now believes could have saved her son's life.
"I take full accountability as Trigg's mother, and I know I should have done more to protect him," she wrote. "One of the hardest lessons I carry is that a permanent pool fence could have saved his life, and it's something I will never overlook again."
On the night of the tragedy, Emilie had been out with friends while her husband, Brady, 28, stayed home to care for Trigg and their newborn son, Theodore, when the tragic incident happened.

According to Chandler Police Department records, Brady admitted he became distracted while watching an NBA game and placing a $25 bet, losing track of Trigg for several minutes.
Surveillance footage later confirmed the toddler was unattended for more than nine minutes, "and in the water for about 7 of those minutes."
Emergency responders rushed the little boy to a nearby hospital before he was flown to Phoenix Children's Hospital in critical condition.
Despite efforts to save him, Trigg did not survive the unfortunate incident.

In her statement, Emilie described her son as "our baby and our best friend," remembering his joy and the light he brought into their lives.
"We miss him every second of every day," she wrote, admitting that "continuing forward often feels unbearable."
While grappling with her grief, Emilie expressed hope that sharing Trigg's "story will prevent other children and families from suffering the same loss."
She also extended gratitude to those who have supported her family during this devastating time.
"In the future, I hope to be in a place to show more about how I am navigating this grief, but fight now, all I can say is thank you for the love, compassion, patience, and space you've given us to grieve. I am more grateful for it than can ever be expressed," the influencer noted.

Meanwhile, the Chandler Police Department report revealed several inconsistencies in Brady's recollection of events on the tragic day.
According to the Daily Mail, Brady initially told officers that he had been sitting in a chair positioned to view the backyard while supervising his son, Trigg.
However, officers reviewing surveillance footage noted that the outdoor chairs were fully visible to the cameras, and Brady was never seen sitting in any of them.
When confronted about this detail, Brady adjusted his account, stating instead that he had been seated on the couch inside the house. He explained that from that position, he faced the television, with a glass door to his right offering a partial view of the yard where the pool was located.
Further probing revealed additional details. Brady admitted that while Trigg was outside, he was watching an NBA playoff game. He also disclosed that he had placed a $25 bet on the game's outcome at the time of the incident.
Police Report Reveals More Gaps In Emilie Kiser's Husband's Account Of Son's Drowning

Brady's timeline of events also shifted across multiple police interviews. During the initial questioning following Trigg's drowning, he claimed to have looked away for approximately five minutes.
Later, he revised this to suggest he had only been distracted for "moments, not minutes." In yet another version, he estimated that he had looked away from his son for three to five minutes.
Investigators noted that "Brady's statements do not match what is seen on the video; he did not accurately describe one thing [Trigg] did after he went outside."
The report concluded that "Brady was not aware of what [Trigg] was doing and was not watching him. The combination of these factors led to drowning, and a remedy to any of the contributing circumstances could have prevented the outcome."
Despite police urging prosecutors to pursue a felony child abuse charge, Brady has not been charged in connection with his son's death.
