Travis Kelce Jersey Sales Spike 200% After Surprising Taylor Swift With Reported Six-Figure Engagement Ring

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are likely still on cloud nine after the pair became engaged earlier this week. Since posting the special moment on Instagram, Swift and Kelce have been the talk of the town, with the iconic singer experiencing a surge in her music streams and the NFL tight end seeing similar success with his replica jerseys. All of this comes exactly two years after the pair first made headlines with their relationship, which sent Swifties worldwide into a frenzy.

According to a new report from TMZ, Kelce's iconic Kansas City Chiefs replica football jersey has been a hot commodity since news of his engagement to the 14x Grammy winner broke in the media earlier this week.

The popular sports merchandise retailer, Fanatics, told the publication that after Swift posted a photo of her massive engagement ring, which is reportedly worth a hefty six-figure sum, Kelce's jersey sales spiked by 200%.

Of course, this isn't the first time Kelce or Fanatics have seen an overwhelming interest in his jerseys. The company also reported that the Super Bowl champion's merchandise saw a similar surge back in February 2025.

And if that wasn't enough, multiple sources reported on what they called the "Taylor Swift effect" back in September 2023, explaining how after she made a surprise appearance inside Arrowhead Stadium during a Chiefs versus Chicago Bears game, Kelce's jersey sales spiked 400% through the Fanatics network.

That same game also scored 24.32 million viewers, according to Variety, and was the highest rated among female demographics across the ages of 12-17 and 18-49 that week.

Since then, Swift and Kelce breaking records has become a common occurrence. Shortly after their engagement post skyrocketed to the top of trending topics lists, Swift's music—which already sits atop many Billboard charts—saw an increase in streams, too.

The popular music streaming giant, Spotify, confirmed in a statement that one of the singer's tracks, "So High School," saw a nearly 400% increase in streams.

Even though Spotify didn't reveal exact numbers, the company shared that additional Swift songs, including "Love Story," "You Belong With Me," and "Lover," have also experienced a similar boost.

The Blast previously reported about Swift's engagement to Kelce. In a carousel of photos shared to Instagram, the power couple lovingly embraced each other after agreeing to spend the rest of their lives together.

In one picture, Swift is seen holding onto Kelce's face while he grabs her waist. In another, viewers can see the moment when Kelce popped the question on one knee while Swift looked deeply into his eyes.

Swift and Kelce also showed off the flashy engagement ring, which sparkled in the photos. Swift captioned the post, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

So far, the image has amassed over 30 million likes and is quickly on its way to becoming one of the most liked Instagram pictures of all time.

Kelce and Swift's engagement likely didn't come as a surprise to pop culture and sports loyalists, considering the pair have been one of the most popular couples in Hollywood since 2023. Additionally, Kelce has spoken about his deep love for the singer in previous interviews.

“When there is not a camera on us, we’re just two people that are in love,” the University of Cincinnati alum said about their relationship. “It can be perceived as something else because of how much it is talked about and how much we are tracked whenever we do go out, but I would say that it’s as normal of… It happened very organically, even though from a media standpoint it was being tracked.”

Social media users erupted with excitement after the news about Kelce and Swift hit their timelines, with one user writing on X, formerly Twitter, "Aaah, so happy for them!! Her ring is everything."

Another user joked that it took the NFL legend long enough to propose before asking, "Wonder if he'll take her last name?"

A third commenter also joined in on the fun and said they were "so happy" Swift finally found her "endgame."
