Kim Kardashian And North's 'Tender' Mother-Daughter Relationship Highlighted During Dinner In Rome

Kim Kardashian and daughter North West, 12, dined quietly at Rome's famed Pierluigi restaurant, joined by friends and security.

Despite paparazzi swarming their arrival, the group enjoyed a simple Italian meal at a private table, with the reality TV star and her daughter described as warm and low-key.

Kim Kardashian and North West donned coordinated black outfits, later showcased on TikTok, sparking debate over North's corset top.

An insider told Page Six that Kim, two of her longtime friends, and North enjoyed a relaxed evening tucked away at a private table in the picturesque Piazza de' Ricci.

Guests inside were reportedly "caught off guard" when the quiet atmosphere was interrupted by a sudden burst of camera flashes as the group arrived.

According to the source, "[The paparazzi] had followed the van from their hotel to the restaurant, arriving first on scooters. By the time the van doors opened, the paparazzi were already in place."

The insider added that the mother-daughter duo "walked out under a storm of flashes" before making their way into the restaurant flanked by "their team of personal security."

Once inside the restaurant, the insider noted that what stood out most was "the simplicity of [Kim and North's] requests, as well as the professionalism of their security team."

According to the source, Kim requested a "private, quiet table." The Skims mogul's table was described as "a warm atmosphere," as she shared a "tender" and "relaxed" moment with North and their two companions.

The group began with classic Italian antipasti, including zucchini blossoms, caprese, prosciutto with melon, and tuna tartare.

Their main course was a round of paccheri pasta, served simply with cherry tomatoes and basil. Only water was ordered, with no wine at the table.

"It was clear they were celebrating their Italian trip by diving into the culinary culture of our country," the source said.

Other diners hoping to greet the SKIMS founder were politely turned away so she could enjoy uninterrupted time with her daughter.

Before leaving, Kim thanked the Pierluigi staff for their hospitality. Moments later, the group slipped back into their van, trailed once again by photographers weaving through traffic on scooters.

For the evening, Kim and North had a stylish matching moment in all-black looks.

Kim wore a sleek black bodycon silk dress, while 12-year-old North opted for a black corset top paired with a skirt and knee-high boots.

The teen completed her bold look with electric blue hair, styled in two waist-length ponytails.

In a video posted on TikTok to the duo's joint account, Kim and North showed off their ensembles while dancing to Destroy Lonely's "If Looks Could Kill."

But despite the playful mother-daughter moment, much of the online chatter afterward focused on North's outfit.

Critics quickly flooded social media, blasting Kim for letting her daughter wear a bustier.

"So inappropriate, Kim," one person wrote, while another asked, "Why are you letting a 12-year-old child wear a corset… sorry, this is so insane and damaging to me."

Others, however, defended the tween's fashion choice, calling it "cute" and "age-appropriate."

One fan on X pushed back at the criticism, writing: "It's not 2002, babes, it's 2025. Things are different now. Y'all are so f-cking auntie."

Kim and North's mother-daughter getaway comes after she recently whisked her younger children, along with sister Khloé Kardashian's kids, away for a lavish family getaway in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The Hulu star took to Instagram on Sunday to share snaps from the sun-soaked trip, after reportedly flying the youngsters out earlier this month on her private jet, aptly renamed "Kim Air."

Both Kim and Khloé gave their hundreds of millions of followers a peek inside the glamorous escape, posting carousel updates filled with behind-the-scenes moments.

In her post, Kim included handwritten love notes to her four children, reminding them, "Mommy loves you." Khloé and Kim paired their photo dumps with identical captions, writing: "#TheThingsWeDo."
