Cardi B Takes The Stand In Her Civil Trial, Admits To Use Of The B-Word

Cardi B faced jurors this week, explaining why she called a former security guard a "b-tch" after being allegedly recorded during a doctor's visit. 

This case stems from a 2018 encounter in a Beverly Hills OB-GYN waiting room, where the guard claims the rapper attacked her, accusing her of spreading gossip.

Cardi B's trial is not the only legal battle involving a clash that she is fighting. A 2023 microphone incident during one of her performances came up recently, as the alleged victim is now suing her.

In a Beverly Hills courtroom, the rapper recalled walking through her OB-GYN's office when building guard Emani Ellis began trailing her with a phone camera. 

Cardi said she confronted Ellis, and the two traded insults in the hallway. At one point, the star admitted she called Ellis a "b-tch." However, while Cardi believed Ellis was filming, she never actually saw any video of the encounter.

TMZ reported that despite claims in the lawsuit that things turned physical, Cardi insisted no fight broke out. She explained Ellis was larger than her, and she would not have tried to get violent.

Cardi's day in court took a sharp turn when her accuser described their heated 2018 clash. Ellis testified that the then-pregnant star immediately grew hostile after she spotted her in the lobby and said out loud, "Wow, that's Cardi B."

The Blast detailed Ellis's account, where she claims the TV personality accused her of planning to leak details about a private appointment. Ellis alleged Cardi hurled insults, mocked her weight and job, and then tried to swing at her.

The testimony did not stop there. Ellis told jurors Cardi spat on her, shouted racial slurs, and left a mark on her face with a long fingernail.

The 32-year-old's legal team pushed back hard in court as she faced claims of assault by Ellis. It was noted that attorney Peter Anderson zeroed in on contradictions in Ellis' account.

He highlighted a major discrepancy between her trial testimony and the incident report she wrote that same day. In the document, Ellis stated that she was scratched on the nose, whereas in court, she claimed the cut was on her cheek. Anderson told jurors this proved her story had shifted.

The attorney also pointed out that Ellis admitted in her report that she was on the phone when the argument began, despite later insisting she was not. 

He framed Cardi's reaction as a response to being provoked, saying Ellis towered over the pregnant star while yelling threats. Witnesses backed this up, recalling Ellis screaming, "I will f-ck your sh-t up," before security pulled her away.

Cardi's plate is not just full with her Beverly Hills courtroom fight; she is staring down a separate case tied to her infamous 2023 microphone toss in Las Vegas.

The Blast highlighted that, at the time, authorities investigated the matter but chose not to pursue charges. But two years later, the woman who caught the mic says she is not letting it slide. 

Her lawyer, Cierra N. Norris, is set to hold a press conference in Vegas, signaling the start of a new legal showdown. The plaintiff claims she became a target after joining other fans who splashed Cardi with water, an action the performer allegedly encouraged.

Now, she is suing for assault, battery, negligence, and more, calling the entire episode humiliating. Adding insult to injury, she pointed out that the very microphone used against her was later auctioned off.

The outlet previously reported that the microphone was actually auctioned off for $99,000 on eBay, a sale that drew over 100 bids.

The mother-of-three is not holding back when it comes to her split from Offset, and her latest outburst makes that crystal clear. The Blast noted that in May, the Bronx rapper unleashed raw anger after hearing about Offset's move in their divorce. What set her off? 

Reports that the Migos star is seeking spousal support. Cardi said the request wrecked her entire day and left her feeling disgusted with her estranged husband.

During a fiery rant on X Spaces, she vented in detail, making it clear she felt betrayed. Cardi even went as far as wishing Offset a "slow death" filled with regrets about their broken marriage.

She stressed that she never once asked him for money, but instead highlighted his repeated absences in their children's lives. Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset last year, during her third pregnancy, and welcomed their baby girl shortly after.
