The Las Vegas Aces are ALL IN!
With their 11th straight victory, this time over the Chicago Sky, the Aces cashed in early by clinching their spot in the WNBA Playoffs. The 2022 and 2023 champions are stacking wins like chips at the poker table, proving that even on the road, the house always wins when it comes to Vegas.
The Aces are now just one win away from tying the franchise record of 12 consecutive wins. That mark was previously set by the 2023 Aces and the 2012 San Antonio Stars.

Gray’s first 3 point shot of the night was more than just points on the board. It moved her into the fifth place on the Aces’ all-time list for three-pointers made, adding another milestone to her career.
Fans took to the comment section of the Aces’ Instagram post to share some love for the “Point Gawdddd.”
“Shooters shoot,” one person simply wrote. Another added, “Let’s go point gawddd.”
This win also marked the 250th of Gray’s career, as well as the 200th for teammate Jewel Loyd.
Candace Parker's Jersey Was Retired In Chicago

At halftime, Chicago celebrated Candace Parker by raising her retired No. 3 jersey to the rafters of Wintrust Arena, placing it alongside the 2021 championship banner she was instrumental in bringing to the Sky.
Earlier this summer, Parker also had her jersey retired in Los Angeles, where she helped lead the Sparks to the 2016 title. Parker became the second WNBA player to have her number retired by two different teams.
Parker, a Naperville, Ill. native, spent most of her career with the Sparks but returned home to play two of her final three WNBA seasons in Chicago, winning a championship with the Sky in 2021. She closed out her career with the Aces.
Aces Star A'ja Wilson Named Western Conference Player Of The Week

She did it again!
Wilson was named Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from August 18 to 24, marking her 27th Player of the Week honor and fifth this season. She also earned this honor the last two weeks, on August 19 and August 12, as well as on June 1 and July 1.
This now puts Wilson in a tie with Parker for the second most honors in league history.
In this past week, Wilson led the Aces with a 3-0 record and averaged 29 points on 53.2% shooting from the floor, 12.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, 2.0 assists, and 1.3 steals.
Limited Time Cards Released To Commemorate A'ja Wilson's Historic Performance

To commemorate Wilson’s historic performance against the Connecticut Sun, Panini America, the world’s largest sports and entertainment collectibles company, released instant cards.
The three-time MVP became the first WNBA player to ever record at least 30 points and 20 boards in a single game with her 32 points and 20 rebounds during the game against the Sun.
According to an email sent to The Blast, “The Panini Instant collection exists to commemorate milestones and achievements in real time, so fans don’t have to wait months (or even seasons) to capture their favorite moments.”
The cards became available on Monday afternoon and will only be available for a limited time. They are available in limited quantities with prices ranging from $9.99 and up, depending on the variation of the card. Purchases will be shipped within 20 to 25 business days after the ordering window expires.
The End Of The Regular Season Getting Closer For The Aces

It’s hard to believe that the end of the regular season is already here.
The Aces have one more game on the road before heading home for three games. They’ll face the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday, Aug. 27 in Atlanta and then will play three games at T-Mobile Arena before hitting the road for one last regular season game.
On Thursday, Sept. 4, they’ll go against the No. 1 seed, Minnesota Lynx. Then they’ll play the Chicago Sky back-to-back on Sunday, Sept. 7 and Tuesday, Sept. 9. The Aces then hit the road for their last regular season game against the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday, Sept. 11.
