Last night, during the Chicago Sky's 79-74 loss against A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces, Reese notched her 46th career double-double. Although securing the stat is a common occurrence for Reese, her most recent was special, considering the fact that she now holds the record for earning the most double-doubles in her first two seasons.

Reese's latest double-double has officially placed her name in the WNBA record books, soaring past Tina Charles of the Connecticut Sun, who previously earned the title after securing 45 double-doubles during the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

Despite the loss, Reese still had an impressive performance last night, tallying 10 points and 17 rebounds. The NCAA national champion also added four assists, three steals, and one block to her stats.

Angel Reese Is Used To Setting Records

This isn't the first time Reese has seen her name at the top of the standings. In fact, during her rookie season, the WNBA superstar set another record for most consecutive double-doubles with 15.

The Bayou Barbie continued that and set another record during her first All-Star game in 2024, earning a double-double after dropping 12 points and tallying 11 rebounds.

"[Winning] is what's most important to me," Reese said previously about her double-double records. "I think I've done a great job, being able to be consistent, and I've broken the record already. So [I want to] be able to just be me and do whatever my teammates need."

The basketball shoe, which will debut in three original colorways, Diamond Dust, Mebounds, and Receipts Ready, features Reebok's signature Exoskeleton upper, along with impressive performance technology, including the company's Energy Return System (ERS) and TPU stability cup.

For Reese, the launch of her signature sneaker is more than what it seems. "It's my style, my story, and my stamp on the game," she said.

Reebok CEO and President Todd Krinksy is ready for the release of Reese's sneaker, revealing it "marks the next chapter for Reebok basketball, where performance meets personal style."

And Reese clearly agrees, stating that she wanted her shoes to be as versatile as possible.

"The versatility of being able to wear the shoes on and off the court was the most important thing to me. I really wanted to have a shoe that I can wear on the court, but also in the tunnel, fits, fashion moments, events, and big things," she said.
