Will Smith has been brutally called out by his fans for allegedly using AI to make the crowds at his summer tour appear larger than they are.

The American actor and rapper kicked off his two-month summer tour in July and will conclude it in September.

Smith recently made an unexpected comeback into the music industry with the release of his first full-length album in 20 years.

Earlier this month, Smith posted a short clip on YouTube with the caption: “My favorite part of tour is seeing you all up close. Thank you for seeing me too.”

The video showed the rapper singing to a large crowd during a concert while fans cheered and stretched their hands towards him. He walked up to them as he performed, shaking as many of their outstretched hands as he could.

Some fans were also seen holding up signs declaring their love and adoration for the rapper. One lady could be seen holding up her hands to make a heart at Smith as he performed, and two fans held up a sign saying that the rapper’s song got them through cancer.

Fans Don't Buy The Large Crowds In The Rapper’s Video

Smith’s video didn’t receive the warm reaction the rapper expected, as fans were quick to call him out in the comments section for using AI-enhanced crowds.

One fan wrote, “Fake AI crowd, fake comments, bots like 21K likes for Will Smith?” and another asked, “Is that [an] AI crowd?”

Another fan slammed the Grammy Award winner, writing, “Imagine being this rich and famous and having to use AI footage of crowds and bot comments on your video. Tragic, man. You used to be cool.”

One fan mockingly advised Smith to “enjoy” his retirement, and another commented, “Someone in the crowd was holding [an] arm that moved. Hahahaahahahah, this is pathetic.”

One particularly upset user called the video an “abomination” because it appeared to be taken on a low-quality phone before being “heavily AI upscaled.” The user slammed Smith for opting for “degenerative slop” when he could’ve just hired videographers to help him out.

This wouldn’t be the first time fans have accused Smith of using AI. The “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star recently released a new single, “Pretty Girls,” and fans had a field day making fun of its lyrics.

According to The Blast, fans joked that the star’s comeback song didn’t sound original enough and could very well be the product of AI. One fan wrote that he came up with “Pretty Girls” by asking ChatGPT to make him a “generic cr-ppy rap song.”

Another user jokingly wrote that Smith may have even asked ChatGPT to add “shitt--r lyrics” and make it the “worst song.”

The AI accusations against Smith come amid reports that he is facing financial troubles. The rapper is reportedly struggling under enormous bills from managing numerous properties.

As reported by The Blast, the “Pursuit of Happyness” actor reportedly had to sell one of his properties in Maryland for $795,000. He has also put up another property in Woodland Hills for $2 million.

An insider noted that Smith and his wife are struggling under the weight of impending financial doom and may not be able to hold out for too long.

Financial difficulties aside, Smith has also been tagged as problematic to work with. His overall reputation has seemingly seen a decline since the incident at the 2022 Academy Awards, where he physically assaulted Chris Rock.

In June this year, Alan Tudyk spoke about working with Smith on the 2004 film, “I, Robot.” The former actor recalled putting a lot of work into his character and receiving a lot of attention for it.

However, the latter seemingly had issues with the publicity Tudyk received, as he may not have liked sharing the spotlight.

As reported by The Blast, Tudyk’s publicity and promotional materials soon disappeared. The actor noted that while his publicity declined, Smith's popularity soared.

Similarly, Smith also had issues with Janet Hubert, his co-star on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” which reportedly led to her dismissal from the show.
