Sydney Sweeney's acting career can not seem to catch a break since her jeans ad scandal.
As if the blowback from her American Eagle ad and "Americana" movie is not enough, the actress suffers yet another heavy blow with the reported meager performance of another project, "Eden."
Sydney Sweeney has since stayed silent on the recent controversies rocking her acting and modelling career, as she revealed her secret towards maintaining sanity in the midst of the storm is to stay committed to the end of a cause right from the first line.
Sydney Sweeney's Latest Movie Project Debuted At $1 Million At The Box Office

The actress's star-studded movie "Eden" reportedly launched in over 600 theatres this weekend, earning about $1 million and gathering a 55% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a disappointing turnout given its luxurious cast.
In the survival thriller series, Sweeney played a real-life German settler identified as Margret Wittmer and appeared alongside superstars Ana de Armas and Jude Law.
Sweeney's character was four months pregnant in the movie when she moved to Floreana in 1932 with her husband, Heinz, played by Daniel Brühl, and Harry, played by Jonathan Tittel.
"Eden" $1 million box office earnings fell short of its $50 million budget, replicating "Americana's" poor performance of $500,000 on its opening weekend against a $19 million budget.
Per Deadline, Sweeney showcased her acting prowess in a wild birth scene in the movie, which saw her feed off feral animals as her water broke. Wilmer eventually gives birth to a son and a daughter on the South American isle.
The TV star replaced actress Daisy Edgar-Jones as Wittmer in 2023 following her earlier job on "Twisters" in the middle of the SAG-AFTRA strikes. "Eden" was reportedly formerly known as "Origin of Species," and it featured stars like Vanessa Kirby, Felix Kammerer, Toby Wallace, and Richard Roxburgh.
'Americana' Director Defended The Movie Despite Poor Box Office Debut

Tony Tost, who made his directorial debut with the project, blamed its poor outcome on being gobbled up by the zeitgeist. As for Halsey, who co-starred alongside Sweeney in the movie, she urged viewers to give it a shot and not pay attention to the "24-hour gossip tabloid denim bullsh-t."
Tost explained on his X page that the movie is a hidden gem rather than a blockbuster, contrary to expectations. As shared by The Daily Mail, he added that he remained curious to see how the movie would survive these trying times at the box office in the coming days.
"Americana" premiered at SXSW last March, and four months before it began, the production company Bron Studios reportedly filed for bankruptcy. The company finally braved through that storm and released the movie on over 1000 screens two years after production began.
The "Euphoria" star plays the role of a stammering waitress aspiring to make it as a country singer. The movie also stars notable names in Hollywood, such as Paul Walter Hauser, Eric Dane, Simon Rex, and "Without Me" star Halsey.
Inside Sweeney's American Eagle Ad Scandal

The actress got slammed for her train of thought and delivery on the commercial, which sparked up conversation about political and racial undertones. The Blast noted that the commercial also led to a grand discovery about Sweeney's political affiliation with the Republican Party by Trump.
Trump praised the actress on his Truth Social platform, bragging about her connection to the Republican Party and calling her ad one of the best out there. The politician reiterated that "Being WOKE is for losers, being Republican is what you want to be."
Sweeney also pulled her own weight in promoting the project, taking to her Instagram to share a personal story about the movie with her friends, fans, and followers.
The actress revealed that she filmed the movie with some friends a few years ago, and it brings her extreme pleasure to see people finally meet her character in the film Penny Jo.
Despite these challenges, the actress is reportedly gearing up to take on the role of legendary boxer Christy Martin in the movie "Christy." She will also test her popularity with "The Housemaid" movie, a psychological thriller slated for a December 25 release.
What The 27-Year-Old Earns Per Movie Role

Ads aside, the actress is making impressive cash with her movie roles. The Blast noted that the actress reportedly earned just $65,000 for her role in "Reality" two years ago, but her pay increased later that year when she earned $2 million in her romantic comedy with Glen Powell, "Anyone But You."
Her upcoming Christmas Day movie cost the producers and entire team about $7.5 million in salary to Sweeney.
Directors who have worked with the actress, like "The Housemaid's" Paul Feig, noted that her commitment to her roles and presence on set, both physically and emotionally, make her more deserving of the demand and the pay.
In 2022, things were not so financially great for the actress, as she quoted at the time, admitting that if she stayed off set for six months, it would become challenging to pay her glam team and mortgage.
She confessed to getting anxiety at the thought of taking days off from work and found a way around it by keeping her schedule open for unexpected offers to help her stay booked and busy for the next "three or four years."
Sydney Sweeney's Hollywood Fame Reportedly Threatening Some Famous Names

Sweeney has had a good run so far in the industry, but not without attracting a few gazes from Hollywood's icons- Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez.
The SKIMS founder reportedly finds it shocking that Sweeney has got all that attention to herself, especially after her appearance at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's extravagant wedding in Italy.
As for Lopez, the idea that Sweeney is considering music is infuriating to her, given her decades of fame in the sector. However, Sweeney is reportedly taking all the undertones on the chin, as the backlash indicates that she is doing something right.
Since the American Eagle ad dropped, Sweeney has enjoyed support from a few prominent names in the industry, such as Dr Phil. She has also focused on fulfilling her career duties and taking time out with her friends- whether partying the night away or trying skydiving for the first time ever.
