Raven Symoné and her wife, Miranda Peraman-Maday, have been making headlines since their secret marriage in 2020.

Over the years, the iconic actress has shared more about her relationship with Maday on television shows, on social media, and on their joint podcast, "Tea Time with Raven and Miranda."

Once, Symoné discussed making Maday sign a prenup to date her. In April 2025, the couple opened up about why they sleep in separate bedrooms. And most recently, the pair got candid about finances, with Maday surprisingly revealing she's "richer" than her superstar wife.

The reaction to the revelation, however, hasn't been positive. In fact, fans are furious with Raven Symoné and haven't been afraid to express their displeasure.

Raven Symoné's Wife Reveals The Iconic Actress Isn't As Rich As Her, Striking A Cord Among Fans

On an episode of their podcast, Symoné and Maday spoke with guest Robby Hoffman about a range of different topics, including money. During the conversation, Symoné revealed that one of the reasons she was excited to tie the knot with her wife was because she was "marrying rich."

Clearly surprised, Hoffman asked Symoné to clarify, stating, "But you're rich," to which Maday added, "But not as rich as me."

Maday, who first met Symoné at a bar in West Hollywood in 2015, went on to explain that part of the reason she believes she has to fight so hard to defend her relationship with Symoné is because so many people assume she married the "That's So Raven" star for her money.

That's when Maday took it a step further and looked into the camera, saying boldly, "I didn't marry Raven for money, I'm richer."

Although the pair were laughing throughout the conversation, social media users were far from amused by Maday and Symoné's admission.

Maday and Symoné's confession on their podcast isn't the first time the pair have revealed intimate details to the public.

According to a previous report from The Blast, Symoné stated that when she and Maday first started dating, she had her sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to ensure her privacy.

Symoné went on to say that it took her some time to come to terms with the idea of presenting her partners with legally binding documents; however, after understanding her position, she said she realized how important they actually are.

As for when her previous partners were presented with the paperwork, Symoné said it always happened right "before the naughty times come."

In another episode of their podcast, they also explained their decision to sleep in separate rooms, with Maday stating specifically that they "function better in separate spaces."

"Not all the time, but especially when it comes to sleep," she said, adding that having separate spaces helps them stick to their schedule.

Symoné, on the other hand, said that having different spaces has only strengthened her love for her wife.

" I believe in 'absence makes the heart grow fonder.' We work together, we live together, we eat together, we cook together, we drive together," she said. "It's like, I'm going to have a little time to myself, and I think that it's actually helping."
